Jude Law is all smiles at the UK premiere of his twisty two-character thriller film Sleuth at the Odeon West End on Sunday in London, England.

Jude, 34, recently insisted that he wants nothing more than a quiet life.

“This obsession with gossip and second rate information is like a cancer that’s taken over,” he told UK’s Sunday Life. “I have never had an interest in what someone weighs or what they wear… I do hate the intrusion into my private life. It’s like being followed by snipers. But I just try hard to ignore it and lead a quiet life. The photographer that I supposedly assaulted reported it to the police and they were very sheepish when they called me in, but even then the photographer was waiting outside the station trying to get a photograph of me.”

Jude Law takes a walk around Yorkville on his day off of filming his latest movie Repossession Mambo currently filming in Toronto, Canada.

The forthcoming futuristic adventure thriller Repossession Mambo also stars Forest Whitaker. This will be Miguel Sapochnik’s directorial debut for Universal Pictures. The film is about a repo man, who is made up of artificial organs and struggles to make payments for his heart transplant. Unable to provide the money, he runs from his former partner.

Jude Law promotes his new movie Sleuth (he produced and acts in it) on Tuesday’s episode of The Late Show with David Letterman. The film is a remake of the 1972 movie, in which Michael Caine played the role of hair salon owner Milo Tindle. Jude takes on this role in the 2007 version.

“Because of the way it evolved, it really felt it was really an original take on it,” Jude has said. “So I don’t feel like I was stepping on (Caine’s) toes. [And] working with Michael is extraordinary. I feel very lucky. I’ve worked with some great actors. Michael is an icon, you know, he’s also a gentleman, he’s also incredibly modest, he’s also very good fun.”

Sleuth opens in limited release on October 12.

Jude Law plays up his detective role by wearing a fedora at the premiere of his twisty two-character thriller Sleuth at the Paris Theatre on Tuesday in New York City. Now all he needs is a trench coat to finish off his look!

Jude Law, who recently chopped his hair off, enjoys a beautiful Saturday morning with ex-wife Sadie Frost and their three children - Rafferty, 10, Iris, 6, and Rudy, 5.

The family enjoyed a walk through Primrose Hill, London and had their pet dog with them - a bichon frise called Ringo. Cute fam!

Jude Law and HFPA guests attend the In Style Magazine and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association Toronto International Film Festival Party held at the Windsor Arms Hotel on Tuesday in Toronto, Canada.

It was recently announced that Jude will play the title role in the 2009 revival of Shakespeare’s Hamlet at London’s West End.

Theatre artistic director, Michael Grandage, has said: “Jude was on the record as saying he wanted to tackle Hamlet at some point.

“He is a muscular, visceral actor who has a very direct connection with raw emotion.

“It will potentially be a very different take on a play we have seen a lot in recent years.”
