Julie Benz is engaged to her boyfriend of four years, Rich Orosco!

The 39-year-old Dexter actress told People that the proposal was “absolutely perfect.”

“The proposal was simple and beautiful – and then I was shocked by the pop-up surprise Mexican fiesta engagement party,” Julie said. “What girl doesn’t want to be serenaded by a Mariachi band surrounded by close friends and family?”

This will be Julie‘s second marriage. She was previously married to John Kassir, who she divorced in 2007 after nine years.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Jesse, 35, came out to support his Modern Family co-star Sofia Vergara, who was honored at the event.

Jesse recently said that his role on the show is historic. “The fact that the show has another social level, that it’s actually changing people’s minds and representing a family on TV,” he said.

Julie Benz proudly holds up JustJared.com‘s special coaster at Comic-Con 2010 on Saturday (July 24) in San Diego, Calif. Here’s what the 38-year-old actress had to share with us exclusively:

On her new show: No Ordinary Family premieres September 28th at 8pm on ABC. It’s been such an exciting transition for me to go from death on Dexter, to Desperate Housewives, and now onto this new show.

You died on Angel, then Dexter! Why do they keep killing you?? How many deaths! (laughs) You know, my mom asked after my demise on Dexter, “Could you please be put on a show where they’re not gonna kill you off?” So I said “Okay, I’m looking for a comedy.” (laughs)

What attracted you to No Ordinary Family? What I really love about my character Stephanie is that she’s a very strong active, female character. She’s a modern day woman, the bread winner of the family, and a working woman with a type A personality. Stephanie is also trying to be a good mother and a good wife, but she struggles woth that because there’s just not enough time in the day. I think it’s a role women can relate to universally — balancing work and the home, and being a mother and a wife. That’s what I really loved about it!

What are your superpowers on the show? My character develops super speed. After a plane crash, we all develop a super ability and my character develops super speed.

Are you running a lot? I am! I am actually running a lot in my own life now because I have to stay in top physical condition now that I have to run everywhere.
