Kanye West is spotted leaving a recreation center in Los Angeles after playing basketball with his friends on Tuesday (September 15).

The 32-year-old rapper blogged on Monday: “I feel like Ben Stiller in “Meet the Parents” when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave… That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

The first night of The Jay Leno Show was watched by an estimated 17.7 million people. Kanye was interviewed by Leno, where he made an emotional apology to Taylor Swift.

President Obama has inadvertently put his name into the Kanye West/Taylor Swift controversy after stating that Kanye is a “jackass” for what he did at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

When asked about the incident, President Obama said, “I thought that was really inappropriate. You know it was like she’s getting an award. Why are you butting in? The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person. She’s getting her award. What he’s doing up there? He’s a jackass!”

Taylor Swift leaves her NYC hotel on on Tuesday morning (September 15) and heads to The View.

On the show, the 19-year-old country cutie revealed that Kanye West still hadn’t reached out to personally apology for disrupting her best female video award acceptance speech at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. (Kanye did blog an apology and said sorry on Leno last night.)

“He has not personally reached out or anything,” Taylor said, “but if he wanted to say hi…”

“I’m not going to say that I wasn’t rattled by it,” added Taylor. “But I had to perform live five minutes later so I had get myself back to the place where I could perform.”

After the show aired, Kanye did ring up Taylor to apologize. She told ABC News Radio, “Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology.”

Kanye West offers up an emotional apology to Taylor Swift during his appearance for the premiere night of The Jay Leno Show on Monday (September 14).

The 32-year-old entertainer from Atlanta, Georgia was extremely shaken during the interview while expressing regret for interrupting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech during yesterday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

He also talked about taking a break after this controversy, saying, “It was rude, period. So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause, and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”

Although Kanye was set to perform, he asked for some air time to talk. During the interview, he said it was, “extremely difficult to deal with the fact that I hurt someone and took something away from a talented artist.”

At Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift was interrupted by Kanye West during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video to say that Beyonce deserved to win. The 19-year-old country cutie opened up to reporters about the incident.

“Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award,” she said. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.”

Added Taylor, “I’ve been getting so many text messages and everybody’s been really nice. So I’ve had a really, really fun night. It’s been interesting definitely. It’s definitely been an interesting night… I don’t know him, and I’ve never met him, so… I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.”

When Beyonce won for Video of the Year, she let Taylor have the spotlight during her acceptance speech.

“They told me to stand by the side of the stage, and I didn’t really know what was going to go down,” Taylor said. “But I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she’s always done. She’s always been a great person before anything else. Before the talented artist, the superstar, she’s always been a great person and I just, I thought I couldn’t love Beyonce more tonight, than tonight.”

Taylor Swift fans, including celebrities, are speaking out against Kanye West for ruining Taylor’s big win at the 2009 MTV VMAs for “Best Female Video”.

American Idol’s original champ Kelly Clarkson just posted this rant on her blog slamming Kanye for his on-stage behavior:

“Dear Kanye, What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like s—. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty s—ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

“I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

“On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

“Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl! KC :)”

Earlier in the night, Kanye West ran up onto the stage while Taylor Swift was accepting her award for the “Best Female Video”, grabbed the mic and shouted out, “Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you. I’m gonna let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” Taylor was left speechless and the cameras cut away.

Kanye just posted an apology to Taylor on his blog, which was written in all caps:

“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom [Andrea]. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!…………….. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Everybody wanna booooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!! No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the cribe right now cause…. Well you know!!!! I’m still happy for Taylor!!!! Boooyaawww!!!! You are very talented!!!!! I gave my awards to Outkast when they deserved it over me… That’s what it is!!!! I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real. Sorry for that!!!
