Check our this new trailer for Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z’s new song “Run This Town.”

“The song is about evolution and the progress,” Jay says. “You start out as a new artist and you make your way into the game. You climb that mountain and you get to the top and you put your flag down. This is us putting our flag down. This is Roc Nation. Pledge your allegiance. You’ve got to put your flag at the top of the mountain and say we run this town.”

The trio will perform this song on NBC’s The Jay Leno Show on September 14. They are also rumored to perform a day before at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards also in New York City.

Rihanna will be making her comeback performance on the premiere night of NBC’s The Jay Leno Show on September 14.

The 21-year-old Bajan beauty, Jay-Z and Kanye West will perform “Run This Town” from Jay-Z’s new album The Blueprint 3, which drops on September 11.

E! also reports that The Jay Leno Show is close to securing Tom Cruise to participate in his new segment, “The Green Car Challenge,” wherein celebs race each other in alternative-fuel vehicles.

Kanye West attends men.style.com’s 3rd annual Women of Fashion event at The New York Palace Hotel on Wednesday (June 10) in New York City.

The 32-year-old musician spent a lot of the night hanging with model Chanel Iman (pictured here) in his VIP cabana.

Despite Kanye’s publicist’s claim that the rapper and Amber Rose have split, the two are still popping up around NYC together. Amber was at Kanye’s 32nd birthday party at Spotted Pig Monday night and on Tuesday the two were seen shopping at American Apparel on Broadway.

Kanye, who also hit up the Black Eyed Peas party last night, will soon be touring with Lady GaGa.
