Kate Beckinsale (in Andrew Gn) arrives with her husband Len Wiseman at the MOCA New 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday (November 14) in Los Angeles, Calif.

The 36-year-old actress’s ex-partner Michael Sheen will have a role in the latest installment of the Twilight series. Michael and Kate’s daughter, Lily burst into tears when she found out her father had a role in the film.

“Look, I really am the last British actor who’s not in any of the Harry Potter films,” Michael laughed as he told the Independent. “I was looking for something I could do that would make me cool in the eyes of my daughter. I had to say to her, ‘I heard someone talking about this character Aro in these books. Do you know anything about that?’ And she said, ‘Yes, he’s the leader of the Volturi and he reads people’s minds. Are you playing him?’ Of course I said, ‘No, no, no.’ When it was all worked out she cried. Then she hit me.”

Kate Beckinsale and her husband director Len Wiseman pose together at the AFI FEST 2009 screening of Miramax’ Everybody’s Fine at the Chinese Theater on Tuesday (November 3) in Los Angeles, Calif.

The 36-year-old actress was named the Sexiest Woman Alive last month by Esquire magazine. At the Everybody’s Fine premiere she said, “It’s such a nice thing to happen and then immediately it’s mortifying.”

“Somebody came up to me in the street and went ‘are you the sexiest woman alive?’ and I went ‘yes’ and then I thought ‘errrggh I can’t say yes to that!,” Kate told the UKPA. “I should be shot on sight for that, it’s awful!” she joked.

Kate Beckinsale honors Robert De Niro by presenting the Actor of the Year award at the 13th annual Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Monday (October 26).

At the event, the 36-year-old British actress wore a Michael Kors gown and was joined by her husband Len Wiseman.

Other honorees at the event include Actress of the Year Hilary Swank for her role in Amelia, The Hollywood Spotlight award to Zachary Quinto, and the Hangover’s Bradley Cooper for the Comedy Award.

Kate Beckinsale and her husband Len Wiseman take her daughter Lily Sheen to a park in Santa Monica with their new little doggie on Sunday (October 25).

The 36-year-old actress can be seen in the upcoming film, Everybody’s Fine. She stars alongside Robert DeNiro who plays a widower who realizes his only connection to his family was through his wife and sets off on an impromptu road trip to reunite with each of his grown children.

Kate was recently named The Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine.

Kate Beckinsale, named the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire Magazine, takes the day off to treat herself to a spa and a day of shopping on Tuesday (October 6) in Beverly Hills.

The 36-year-old actress told Esquire that, “this whole notion of being named Sexiest Woman Alive is going to earn me quite a beating. You can’t have that title with four brothers. I’ll get wedgies. Headlocks. Noogies.”

“If you’re any kind of a human,” Kate said, “you know the title is utterly ludicrous. But I like the idea of it, too. I do. I’m feeling that I must earn this. I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something.”

The 36-year-old British actress has been carrying around a new little pet pooch lately, a Maltese Chihuahua named Ingrid.

Over the weekend, Kate and her husband, director Len Wiseman, took her daughter Lily, 10, to a Los Angeles carnival.

Kate Beckinsale (in Jil Sander) walks the white carpet at the premiere of her film, Whiteout, on Wednesday (September 9) at the Mann Village Theater in Westwood, Calif.

Her husband Len Wiseman accompanied her to the after-party at Tavern, where she donned a Christian Lacroix navy silk cocktail dress, Judith Leiber walnut clutcand black leather Ferragamo pumps.

The 37-year-old actress stars in the film where she plays a U.S. deputy marshal assigned to Antarctica where she must investigate a murder. The movie is based on the 1998 comic book of the same name by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber.
