The 41-year-old Private Practice star’s estranged husband Alex Young recently attempted to subpoena the Disney/ABC network president Stephen McPherson to testify at his divorce trial. Young’s lawyer claims the TV executive has “unique” knowledge about Walsh’s accounts because she is employed by his network as the star of the hit medical show.

Kate is trying to block her ex from claiming alimony in their divorce battle. Her accounting firm also did not get the protective order it sought after Young has been demanding financial information, TMZ reported.

The 41-year-old Private Practice star threw a birthday party for Sally Ann Brooks, her good friend (and onetime Grey’s guest star), at BoHo, a new gastropub in Hollywood. It was a Grey’s Anatomy cast reunion as T.R. Knight and Justin Chambers were on hand to celebrate with their significant others. When the 41-year-old actress got back to her car, she smiled as she took the parking ticket that was waiting for her.

Kate was reportedly seen sitting on the lap of Sean Smith, assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, at a late-night fete in D.C. According to a NY Daily News spy, “Then Sean and Kate were lying on a couch around 1:30 a.m., and she had her feet in his lap.” Says Walsh’s rep, “They’re just friends.”

Private Practice star Kate Walsh rushes over to her home in Los Angeles on Friday (May 1) to meet her real estate appraiser, who showed up to assess the property’s value.

The house is being appraised as it’s part of the divorce settlement between Kate and her husband, movie exec Alex Young.

TMZ is reporting that Alex is fuming because shortly before they married, they bought a multi-million dollar mansion and pimped it out. Alex wants in on the property and Kate’s accountants apparently won’t let him look at the books! More Here! »

The friends jammed on the patio to the band Petty Cash. Kate was seen singing along to the lyrics ” I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty and “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash.

The 41-year-old Private Practice star was also spotted sharing a cigarette and a night out with her onscreen brother Grant Show at Los Angeles’s Happy Ending Bar. Kate was spotted by People sporting jeans, a white T-shirt and a gray cardigan for the meetup.

Last week it was announced that Kate will make a guest appearance in a pulled series called Eyes, which stars her on-screen love interest from Private Practice, Tim Daly.
