Kate Winslet’s Cell Phone Walk And Talk

Kate Winslet is spotted walking and talking on her cellphone while out walking in the meatpacking district of New York City on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old actress is reportedly livid over tabloid reports that the photos of her in the December issue of Vanity Fair were airbrushed and altered to make her look thinner.

Kate is furious at suggestions that her body has been airbrushed,” Kate’s rep told People.

“She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots,” her rep added.

Kate Winslet is a Kindred Spirit

Kate Winslet waves down a cab in the Meatpacking District of New York City on Monday afternoon.

The 33-year-old British actress is featured on the cover of Vanity Fair’s December issue, where she excitedly shared about her reunion with Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio: “Leo and I were always aware that if we were going to do something together again that there would be a sense of expectation. It was going to have to be the right thing. We could see ourselves playing that married couple. The friendship that we have and the solidity of that was something we would be able to use. Leo and I, you know, are sort of kindred spirits—we’re cut from the same cloth.”

Their new project, Revolutionary Road, is due out in theaters in late December and is directed by Kate’s husband Sam Mendes.

Kate Winslet - “Vanity Fair” December 2008

Kate Winslet bares it all for the December 2008 issue of Vanity Fair, which hits shelves November 11. Here’s what the 33-year-old British actress says in the mag:

On her fashion sense: “I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort. … But then I think, they can’t be happy in those heels.”

On her body: “This is going to sound really weird, but I never had a desire to be famous. I never had huge ambitions - never. I was fat. I didn’t know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else.”

‘Revolutionary Road’ Movie Poster Revealed

Scope out the new movie poster for Revolutionary Road, the upcoming drama reuniting Titanic duo Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Titanic was the biggest film in box-office history back in 1997, so Leo and Kate have a lot to live up to!

According to USA Today, “Road tells the story of a young, successful couple living what appears to be a thriving life with their two children in 1950s Connecticut. But the mendacity of their suburban living sends them to France — and their relationship into a tailspin.”

The trailer debuts this Friday (tomorrow!) with Keira Knightley’s The Duchess.

Movie tidbit: Pop singer Jesse McCartney’s younger brother, Timmy, is said to star in Revolutionary Road, but his role in the film is still unknown.

Leonardo DiCaprio is a Beach Boy

Revolutionary Road made Entertainment Weekly’s list of “20 Fall Movies We Can’t Wait to See”!

The 50’s drama, out Dec. 26 (same day as Tom Cruise’s Valkyrie), is based on Richard Yates’ 1961 novel. The film reunites Titanic stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio in a decidedly unsentimental portrait of a marriage. The film is directed by Kate’s husband, Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition).

When asked about shooting a sex scene with Leo, Kate said, “I just kept saying, ‘This is too… weird.’ And Leo was like, ‘Oh, get over it.’ And I’m going, ‘Yeah, a little reminder: You’re my best friend. He’s my husband. This is a bit weird.’ …[But] I hadn’t realized how much my chemistry with [Leo] since Titanic would still stick. It’s great to discover we can just slip right into it, like muscle memory.”
