Last season’s American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee has her debut album coming out Jan. 30. The album is currently untitled but classified as rhythm pop: “It’s not like really R&B or really poppy, but there are a couple of tracks that are really good for the ‘American Idol’ fans who voted for me and knew me as the ‘Over the Rainbow’ girl… I never saw this coming into my life as big as it did, and you never saw this kind of a record coming.
