KayCee Stroh gets glamorous in a gold custom-made Nancy Barrus gown (the very first of Barrus’ evening gown line) at the premiere of her new movie, High School Musical 3: Senior Year premiere. (The red carpet event was held at the Galen Center at the University Of Southern California on Thursday in Los Angeles.)

The 24-year-old KayCee, who is planning her January 2009 wedding, also wore custom jewels that were handmade by Nancy Barrus. She accessorized her look with Carmen Steffens shoes and her grandmother’s heirloom clutch, which is over 100 years old. “Just for good luck!” she said of her clutch on the red carpet.

Also spotted on the red carpet: Fellow wildcats Monique Coleman, 27, and Corbin Bleu, 19. Monique went strapless in a violet Nicole Miller dress and sparkled in Erica Courtney jewelry.

KayCee Stroh, best known for playing pop n’ lock Martha in the High School Musical franchise, met up with Just Jared yesterday for a sit-down interview at her NYC hotel. She is currently in town to promote the new HSM2 Deluxe Dance Edition DVD. The 24-year-old actress talks about her dreams of releasing her own music album, what it’s like to be head cheerleader and her first thoughts on Zac, Vanessa, Ashley and the rest of the HSM gang. Let’s get to it, come on everyone!

JJ: Do you read blogs? Are you on the Internet a lot?

KS: Well, I am familiar with yours but I’m really not. I try to stay away from blogs just because sometimes they can be so negative. Those are the kinds of things that will just ruin your craft or just give you so much fear in this business. I just don’t like to be online that much.

JJ: How do you keep in touch with your friends?

KS: Facebook and texting. I’m getting better with Facebook. It took me a long time because I finally got into Myspace and then they switched over to Facebook. I’m like, “Ah, geez, guys!” I’m not very techie.

KayCee Stroh keeps it cute in an AUW halter dress at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards at Gibson Amphitheater on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.

The 24-year-old High School Musical star, who accessorized with BCBG Girls peep-toes, was a celebrity correspondent at tonight’s Teen Choice Awards for TV Guide Online and YoungHollywood.com. KayCee interviewed her HSM costar Vanessa Hudgens, plus Camp Rock’s Demi Lovato, singer Natasha Bedingfield, and actress Brenda Song.

Other pictures include KayCee on Saturday at the Mattel Celebrity Retreat and at the The Do Something Awards / Official Pre-party of the 2008 Teen Choice Awards at Level 3 in Hollywood.

High School Musical actress KayCee Stroh, aka pop-and-lock girl Martha Cox, got engaged to boyfriend Ben Higginson, reports People.

“We shot from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. [on Saturday], and Ben was waiting for me in my trailer,” KayCee says. “He was waiting for me with a single red rose. Then he took me up to the H Rock, a place at the top of a little mountain that overlooks Salt Lake City, and we watched the sunrise. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”

KayCee is currently shooting the High School Musical 3: Senior Year in Utah with Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu and Lucas Grabeel. None of her costars know about the news yet.

“They are going to be so surprised,” KayCee says. “They all love Ben. He’s like one of the gang.”

Higginson, 24, and Stroh, 23, met at a concert in 2007 and are planning a late 2008 wedding. Congrats to the happy couple!
