Jon Voight has reportedly signed onto the seventh season of 24 to play Jack Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) uber-nemesis who will orchestrate next season’s terrorist threat.

Voight’s character will first be introduced during 24’s two-hour Season 7 prequel and will then be featured heavily in the latter half of the season, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

This marks Jon Voight’s first series role in 40 years, and is the first A-list villain casting on 24 since its first season.

Voight, 69, is a four-time Academy Award nominee, winning an Oscar for best actor in 1978’s Coming Home.

Kiefer Sutherland is held down on the hood of a police car and arrested while filming scenes for the new season of 24.

Kiefer, 41, wore a bullet-proof vest while being dragged from his car, cuffed, and pinned down by other actors posing as police officers.

The new (and seventh) season, set in Washington DC this series, is filming in Los Angeles until the end of the year.

24 star Kiefer Sutherland and girlfriend Siobhan Bonnouvrier share a romantic lunch together at Pastis in New York City’s Meatpacking District on Tuesday.

Bonnouvrier, 36, is a recently divorced style director at Allure magazine. She was married to David Bonnouvrier, 41, founder and chief executive of a management company. Kiefer, 41, is twice divorced.

The new season of 24 (Season 7) will begin and end at 8:00 a.m. and will begin airing January 2009. And 24: The Movie has been put on hold for now.

Kiefer Sutherland has been released from jail after serving his full 48-day sentence.

The 24 star walked out of prison at 12:05 a.m. Monday, hours earlier than had been expected.

The 41-year-old actor served jail time for a Sept. 25, 2007, DUI charge.

Glendal City Jail rep John Bailan said Kiefer spent his days doing laundry, emptying trash bins and mopping floors.

Now let’s get that writer’s strike out of the way and bring back 24!!!!!!!!!

Kiefer Sutherland spent his first full day on his 48-day sentence on Thursday folding jail laundry, according to People.

The 24 star had cornflakes for breakfast, a turkey sandwich for lunch and chicken a la king for dinner. A LA KING!!!!

“[Kiefer’s a] model prisoner,” says a spokesman for the Glendale City Jail. “[But] there’s no way he’s getting out early, unless a judge orders otherwise, which is highly unlikely.”

“He’s not happy to be here,” Officer John Balian added. “But you can tell from his demeanor that he’s sorry and takes responsibility for what’s he’s done (DUI and a probation violation)… But we don’t put murderers or rapists who are awaiting trial in the same area as a guy convicted of a DUI.”

Per TMZ, Kiefer, aka inmate #1085109, began his 48 days behind bars at Glendale, Calif. City Jail tonight for his DUI conviction.

His birthday (Dec. 21), Christmas and New Years will be spent in an orange jumpsuit in jail!

The booking records show Kiefer is 5′10″, 150 lbs, blue eyes, blond hair, 40 years old.

At least his mug shot looks pretty sexy, yah?

Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Tuesday morning, after police pulled him over in West Hollywood, reports TMZ.

The 24 star, 40, was stopped for making an illegal U-turn. He took a breathalyzer test that registered more than twice the legal limit of .08!!!!!

He was booked and released on $25,000 bail. Kiefer is due in court on Oct. 16.

How is Jack Bauer going to save the world if he can’t even drive straight??
