24 star Kiefer Sutherland is honored with the 2,377th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday in Hollywood, Calif. (Cate Blanchett was just honored with the 2,376th star on Friday.)

The 44-year-old Canadian actor’s star is near the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. His father, actor Donald Sutherland, and director Joel Schumacher, spoke of all things Kiefer during the ceremony.

Season 7 of 24 kicks off next month — January 11, 2009.

Kiefer Sutherland tells the Nov. 17th issue of TV Guide, “It’s so great to be back in Jack Bauer’s shoes”. In the mag, the 41-year-old actor also shares personal photos and captions from the South Africa set of 24: Redemption. Here’s a snippet of the cover story:

After way too many delays, 24’s long-awaited Season 7 arrives January 11 on FOX, but there’s relief coming in the form of 24: Redemption, an exotic two-hour prequel movie that puts Jack Bauer back where we like him: on the clock and under the gun. “With the prequel it’s like we’re saying, ‘Hey, remember us?’’ Kiefer Sutherland tells TV Guide. “You want to make sure the interest is still there. So we thought we’d offer a little taste – an appetizer – before the big feast to come.”

24 star Kiefer Sutherland enjoys the motion in the ocean over the Labor Day Weekend in Malibu, Calif., on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Shirtless Kiefer carried out a pair of fins that he used to maneuver around. He showed off his many arm tattoos on the way back to shore!

The seventh season of 24 will premiere in January 2009. But to help offset the strike-induced delay, the FOX series will return on Sunday, November 23, 2008 with a two-hour prequel (24: Exile) that will take place almost a year after season six and will set up the story that launches season seven.

My name is Kiefer Sutherland, and I’ve been asked to open a MySpace page. Not that I am a complete technophobe, but to say that I am late to experience the internet would be an understatement. I am however, open to the challenge.

The timing seemed right to start this page now, since I have a new film called MIRRORS, a project I am very proud of and eager to share with all of you.

But as I sit down to write this, I must admit the notion of reaching out to people who have been there for me all these years feels more like fun than work.

One of the frustrating parts of being on film and television is being unable to personally thank each and every one of you who have supported me over many years. You are the reason I’ve been able to live my dream as an actor, and for that I am profoundly grateful.”

The seventh season of 24 premieres in January!

Jon Voight has reportedly signed onto the seventh season of 24 to play Jack Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) uber-nemesis who will orchestrate next season’s terrorist threat.

Voight’s character will first be introduced during 24’s two-hour Season 7 prequel and will then be featured heavily in the latter half of the season, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

This marks Jon Voight’s first series role in 40 years, and is the first A-list villain casting on 24 since its first season.

Voight, 69, is a four-time Academy Award nominee, winning an Oscar for best actor in 1978’s Coming Home.

Kiefer Sutherland is held down on the hood of a police car and arrested while filming scenes for the new season of 24.

Kiefer, 41, wore a bullet-proof vest while being dragged from his car, cuffed, and pinned down by other actors posing as police officers.

The new (and seventh) season, set in Washington DC this series, is filming in Los Angeles until the end of the year.

24 star Kiefer Sutherland and girlfriend Siobhan Bonnouvrier share a romantic lunch together at Pastis in New York City’s Meatpacking District on Tuesday.

Bonnouvrier, 36, is a recently divorced style director at Allure magazine. She was married to David Bonnouvrier, 41, founder and chief executive of a management company. Kiefer, 41, is twice divorced.

The new season of 24 (Season 7) will begin and end at 8:00 a.m. and will begin airing January 2009. And 24: The Movie has been put on hold for now.

Kiefer Sutherland has been released from jail after serving his full 48-day sentence.

The 24 star walked out of prison at 12:05 a.m. Monday, hours earlier than had been expected.

The 41-year-old actor served jail time for a Sept. 25, 2007, DUI charge.

Glendal City Jail rep John Bailan said Kiefer spent his days doing laundry, emptying trash bins and mopping floors.

Now let’s get that writer’s strike out of the way and bring back 24!!!!!!!!!
