Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig pays tribute to famous females in V magazine’s Issue #64, on newsstands TODAY!

In the spread, styled by Sally Lyndley, Kristen poses as Carmen Miranda, Brigitte Bardot and Frida Kahlo, all in offbeat styles. Here’s what the 36-year-old funnywoman had to share:

On needing to be attractive and funny to get a laugh: “I think that’s bulls—. I think that if you’re funny and people responde to you, it shouldn’t matter what you look like.”

Co-star Jason Sudeikis ,on her odd jobs before fame: “[S]he had about thirty lives before she showed up at SNL. She’s had a bunch of crazy jobs and crazy haircuts and has lived in about a dozen cities. And there’s always a time when she’ll say, ‘Well, when I was a florist,’ or ‘When I sold peaches on the street,’ or ‘When I went to massage school…’ She’s a journeyman who can start a sentence from any number of nonsequiturs.”

Freaks and Geeks duo Paul Feig and Judd Apatow will team up again for a new project - this time, it’s starring SNL’s Kristen Wiig!

Paul is set to direct and Judd will produce the untitled project, which may begin production as early as this spring, according to Variety.

The film is reportedly about women competing to plan a friend’s wedding party.

Kristen can be seen on the big screen in the forthcoming films MacGruber and Date Night!

Check out the restricted trailer for MacGruber, based on the Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name.

The film, out April 23, stars Will Forte as the title character, who fights off his enemy, Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer) after he steals a nuclear warhead.

Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe play MacGruber’s team of experts who vow to help him save the country.

Because this is the restricted trailer, there’s material not suited for little ones - watch with your own discretion!

Ryan Phillippe and his costars, SNL actors Will Forte and Kristen Wiig shoot scenes for the MacGruber movie in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday (August 31).

If you’re not familiar, MacGruber is the recurring Saturday Night Live sketch that parodies MacGyver (the 80’s series where MacGyver could make weapons out of paperclips). The most famous MacGruber skit is the Pepsi one.

Forte plays the titular bumbling spy and Wiig reprises her Vicki character (MacGruber’s assistant).

With a hilarious cast including Ellen Page, Drew Barrymore, and Kristen Wiig, roller-derby comedy Whip It is bound to score some laughs.

Synopsis via USA Today: Ellen stars as a rebellious teenager who signs up to play the brutal and sexy female sport (derby) against her mother’s will, finding friendship and freedom among the bruises and falls.

“Everything I’ve learned throughout my whole life has been going into this piggy bank, and I just smashed it all over the floor for this one,” Drew says of directing the film, which opens October 9.

Spoof versions of Angelina Jolie and Madonna made appearances on the April 4th episode of Saturday Night Live.

As previously reported, Madonna was denied in her attempt to adopt another baby from the African nation of Malawai.

Check out the baby battle below that ensued between the Material Mom, played by Kristen Wiig and Angelina, played by Abby Elliot!

Wiig as Madonna jokes, “I know you can’t tell by my face but I’m really bummed out. (sucks in cheeks) I love babies, but I especially love getting babies from crazy places.”

SNL funny woman Kristen Wiig gives another spot-on impersonation of Today Show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford on this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live.

Michaela Watkins takes on the role of Gifford’s co-host Hoda Kotb. The SNL host for the evening, actor Bradley Cooper, joins the pair for the second half of the sketch as a catwalk expert. Watch the hilarious clip below!
