Kristin Kreuk is Chun-Li Mon, 24 December 2007
Smallville star Kristin Kreuk, aka Lana Lang, has been cast in the upcoming live-action film Street Fighter movie as Chun-Li
According to Comingsoon.net, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li starts filming in Thailand in March 2008.
LatinoReview got their paws on an early version of the script. Here are some spoiler-rific bits:
– The new flick centers on one character: Chun-Li. That’s it. No Ryu, no Ken, no Guile, no eight million characters.
– Chun-Li’s mother dies and now she has no one. She searches out a man called Gen and it is he who tells her that her father is actually still alive in the hands of Bison. Chun-Li then trains with Gen. She becomes faster! Stronger! She is…THE STREET FIGHTER!
– The movie is a revenge flick plain and simple. There’s some awesome kung-fu action in the script but there’s no fireballs. No sonic booms. No flash kicks. Pure and simple Chun-Li is on a mission to find her father and take down Bison.
Here’s to hoping they use the same costume!

Kristin Kreuk Arena Outtakes Thu, 27 April 2006
"I think that I’m different from other actresses on WB. Partly because of my Asian side — my look — I don’t think I come across like Katie Holmes does on-screen… My dad’s Dutch and my mom’s Chinese, so she was responsible for being tough with me and with my sister. That’s the Asian part in my personality, being conservative. I couldn’t date until I was 16 and I wasn’t allowed to wear any make-up until that age and any grade at school under a B was a disaster. Everything is part of the education I got and the weight problems with girls I knew closely, because my little sister has a friend who was bulimic at age 12. It’s just terrible… I did karate when I was younger for like five years, and I couldn’t stand it…but that’s because I think it was regular karate… I think it was Shotokan karate so you like block block block, punch punch punch and so it wasn’t very much fun. But I do wanna go back into it." — Kristin Kreuk

Tom Welling Directs Smallville Tue, 04 April 2006
Tom Welling (wearing his wedding ring) really is Superman — at least for the April 13 episode, when he makes his directorial debut on his show. "Going into it I was apprenhensive about what I didn’t know, but I knew I had a good team around me, says Welling (with costars Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kruek). "Everyone was really fantastic and supportive." Smallville episode "Fragile" airs on Thursday, April 13 @ 8/7c on WB.
Kristin Kreuk in Partition Mon, 27 March 2006
Partition Synopsis :: Determined to leave the ravages of war behind, 38 year old Gian Singh (Jimi Mistry) resigns from the British Indian Army to a quiet life. His world is soon thrown in turmoil, when he suddenly finds himself responsible for the life of a 17 year old girl, traumatized by the events that separated her from her family. Slowly, resisting all the taboos, Gian finds himself falling in love with the vulnerable Naseem (Kristin Kreuk) and she shyly responds. In a moving and epic story, woven into a rich and exotic tapestry, they battle the forces that haunt their innocent love, fighting the odds to survive in a world surrounded by hate.
23-year-old actress Kristin Kreuk, who plays Lana Lang on Smallville, is set to play a 17-year-old Muslim girl named Naseem Khan in Partition, a film about the division between Pakistan and India. Neve Campbell, 32, also stars in this film and will play the passionate but lonely Margaret Stilwell, a woman who helps Gian Singh. More pictures in the gallery! ¶ I haven’t been too impressed with Kristin’s acting in Smallville but I’m cautiously optimistic about her role in Partition (Release Date :: Tentative Spring 2006). Watch the trailer below and share your thoughts. Do you think Kristin Kruek has the looks and the acting chops to pull off a Muslim Pakistani girl? Do you believe Kristin and Neve’s accents?
