Now that Lauren Conrad is leaving The Hills, the 23-year-old reality star is finally opening up about her boyfriend, My Boys actor Kyle Howard. Here’s what Lauren said in the July 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan:

On her boyfriend being supportive of her: “I have to be with someone I really trust who doesn’t want to hurt my feelings and who really wants me to be happy.”

On feeling comfortable around Kyle: “I feel sexiest with him when I’m in sweatpants and no makeup.”

BFF and co-star Lo Bosworth adds that they make a cute couple: “They are really good together. Sometimes, it takes somebody who treats you right to show you there’s something else out there.”

The Hills returns this fall with season five.

MTV has confirmed to JustJared.com that Lauren Conrad has moved on but Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, Lo Bosworth and Justin Bobby will all be back for the new season.

The network also promises “fresh faces, new stories and shocking surprises.”

Newlyweds Spencer and Heidi will, of course, take front and center.

Lauren Conrad looks yummy in yellow at the PaleyFest09 presentation of The Hills at Hollywood’s ArcLight Theaters on Tuesday (April 21).

During the panel, the 23-year-old reality TV star said that Spencer Pratt is sorry for starting the sex tape rumors. “We actually have it on tape,” Lauren said. “[Spencer] takes responsibility and apologizes for it.”

Mutual pal Brody Jenner added, “It was just so messed up that there was no fixing and they were just trying to dig their way out of this grave they dug themselves in. They knew they had spread the rumors… they were plotting and scheming to point the fingers at everybody else when everybody knew it was them who did it. There was no way of getting out of it. I think that was their desperate measure of trying to get out of it.”

It’s likely the apology will air on a future episode of The Hills.

“[Lauren] dates Brian for an episode,” show creator Seth MacFarlane shares of Lauren’s guest-voice stint.

The Hills meets Family Guy on Sunday, May 3 @ 9PM ET/PT on FOX. Are you going to tune in???

Lauren, 23, and Kyle, 30, were seen smooching and cuddling in between paddle sessions in the water.

The Hills returns with its final season TOMORROW, April 6 @ 10PM ET/PT on MTV.

“I actually thought last season was going to be my last,” Lauren previously told EW. “[But] the producers wanted to hopefully give the show some sort of closure and needed one more season.”

Lauren Conrad took to her blog tonight and tries to clear up some things regarding her fashion line:

“Hey everyone! So I wanted to take a moment to clear something up. A few days ago a statement was released to the showrooms that carry my clothing line. It asked them to let the stores know that I was planning to take a couple seasons off from my line so that I could make some changes that I felt were necessary. As a result, a lot of people were under the impression that my line was being discontinued or had been dropped. This isn’t the case at all. The truth is I was the one who asked to take a couple seasons off. I learned so much in the past year and I want to apply that to the improvement of my clothing line. I also wanted to make some changes in production so I would be able to lower the price point. That being said, I am actually really excited about beginning this process. I have spent the last couple weeks working on designs for spring, which is when I am planning to bring the (new and improved) line back. I also have some very exciting things going on that will be announced shortly. So stay tuned!”
