Lost star Matthew Fox, aka Dr. Jack Shephard, hangs out with two female friends Thursday on a balcony in Sydney, Australia. He’s in town to promote the third season of Lost and his new movie Vantage Point.

He was recently asked about being name-dropped in the comedy Knocked Up. In the movie, Katherine Heigl plays a TV journalist named Alison Scott, who tells her boyfriend Ben Stone (played by Seth Rogen) that she is interviewing Fox.

Stone: Matthew Fox from Lost?

Scott: Yeah.

Stone: You know what’s interesting about him?

Scott: What?

Stone: Nothing.

Fox’s humorless response to the movie reference was: “I couldn’t care less. That doesn’t have any effect whatsoever. I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about s— like that.”

But Fox is excited about getting back to filming Lost: “I love the story of Lost and I also would like a bit more certainty in my life. I’d like to see something happen (with the strike) so I can plan working on Lost, some other projects and also life outside of work.”

Lost star Daniel Dae Kim was arrested early Thursday morning in Hawaii for DUI.

The 39-year-old actor’s mug shot was released yesterday and he just issued the following statement to TMZ:

“I am deeply ashamed and embarrassed by the events of Thursday morning. It saddens me to know that I jeopardized the welfare of the kind people of Hawaii, a community that I love and call my home. It is my intention to cooperate fully with the police and I am grateful to them for their sensitivity throughout this matter. To my friends, family, colleagues and fans, thank you for your kind words of support. To those I have disappointed I can only ask that you accept my heartfelt apologies.”

Are Lost co-stars Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan planning a wedding? Maybe so but it looks like Kate, Evangeline’s character on Lost, is getting hitched before Evi & Dom could both say ‘I do!’ And yes, that is Miss Lilly brushing her teeth in the inset… you may now kiss the bride!

Basinger pleaded not guilty last week to 12 misdemeanor counts of contempt. She faces up to 60 days in jail and a $12,000 fine if convicted of all counts.
• New York Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle was killed yesterday when his small plane crashed into a high-rise on the Upper East Side. The crash also killed Lidel’s flight instructor. The pitcher leaves behind a wife and six-year-old son.
