Malin Akerman looks sunny and sweet as she arrives at the L.A. premiere of Couples Retreat on Monday (October 5).

The 31-year-old Swedish-Canadian actress and model, who plays Vince Vaughn’s better half in the film, wore a Yellow Plisse Bustier and a Nude Twist Skirt from the Thakoon Resort 2010 Collection. She accessorized with the grey suede “Fawson” pump from Aldo, Miriam Haskell bracelets and Sergio Rossi clutch.

Malin told reporters that she loved shooting in Bora Bora with Vince and Jon Favreau. “There were moments, actually,” she told Canwest News Service, “where I’d be in a scene and I’d be enjoying myself watching them so much I’d forget I had to say my line.”

Heroes hottie Kristen Bell takes the October 2009 cover of Self Magazine alongside actresses Malin Akerman and Kristin Davis.

Kristen, 29, shared a bit about what she finds attractive in a mate: “Being well-rounded is beautiful. You can’t base beauty on one [characteristic], although having humility would be on the top of my list. And being kind. Kindness is so underrated! If I start to wallow in self-pity, I take someone to lunch or make someone laugh. Kindness is like no drug ever.”

She also talked about why laughing is good for you: “As you age, you get more beautiful. Laugh lines are some of the most beautiful imperfections you can have. They show that you’ve been happy and healthy, and they show confidence and power and everything good.”

Watchmen hottie Malin Akerman heats up the red carpet in a sexy white pantsuit at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday evening (May 31) in Universal City, Calif.

The 31-year-old actress wore a white, peak lapel cotton suit, powder blue bustier and gold strappy heels all by Dolce&Gabbana.

Hosted by Andy Samberg, the 2009 MTV Movie Awards will air live TONIGHT @ 9PM ET/PT on MTV. Eminem will take to the stage to perform music from his anticipated new album Relapse and Kings Of Leon will treat viewers to their rock anthem “Use Somebody” from their hit album Only By The Night.

Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe both attend the Quintessentially Dinner Party at the vitaminwater beach during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

The 26-year-old actress wore a lavender gown as she premiered her new movie, Bright Star, last Friday.

Ryan Phillippe and Malin Akerman (Watchmen) shoot new scenes for their new movie, The Bang Bang Club, on Friday (March 27), in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The film is based on the true-life experiences of four combat photographers capturing the final days of apartheid in South Africa.

Also spotted: Joao Silva (the author of the “The Bang-Bang Club: Snapshots from a Hidden War”), Frank Rautenbach and Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).

Malin Akerman premieres her new comic-book flick, Watchmen, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Monday (March 2) in Hollywood.

The 30-year-old former model wore a design from former Project Runway contestant Rami Kashou. She finished off her look with Jimmy Choo “Night” satin sandals and Loree Rodkin jewels.

Malin talked about her costume as Silk Spectre in Watchmen. “It’s literally like pulling an elastic band over your whole body,” Akerman told Access Hollywood. “Throw a corset on top of that and some high heel shoes and you’re ready to fight, right?” she laughed. “I mean, it definitely looks phenomenal and fierce, but it’s not… That love scene was really interesting, because he couldn’t actually touch me. Because you had all these LED lights that are scratchy, they’d scrape you.”

Check out this new movie still of the upcoming comedy, Couples Retreat, via USA Today.

The movie centers around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort’s therapy sessions is not optional.
