Mandy Moore arrived last night at the world premiere of her new chick flick Because I Said So at ArcLight Hollywood, Calif. Her unconfirmed boyfriend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was not in attendance, sadly. (You know, the one she was spotted kissing at Sundance.)

Because I Said So tells the story of a meddling mother (Diane Keaton, pictured below) trying to set her daughter (Mandy Moore) up with the right man so her kid won’t follow in her footsteps. The film opens in theaters nationwide this Friday, Feb. 2.

Mandy Moore just released a brand spankin’ new song called “Extraordinary” from her upcoming album “Wild Hope.” I transcribed all of the extraordinary lyrics the best that my hard-of-hearing ears could. I really love the last stanza. Check it out below!

Here’s what Mandy had to say about writing the “Extraordinary“: “There are times when everyone hits a point of wanting and knowing they can go beyond what they deem their limits to be. Personally, it took me a while to come to this conclusion and it was quite a bold move for me to make. I consider myself to be pretty shy and have trouble expressing myself in certain situations, so writing this song is one of the most honest, humble things I have ever done and said in my life. To anyone. It felt as good to sing it as it did to write it.”

Mandy Moore and Zach Braff dated each other from late 2004 to September 2006. Their break-up may have hit them both harder than they care to admit.

Zach told Parade Magazine just last week, “I think I suffer from some mild depression. So to have millions of people go, ‘I watched your movie and related’ was the ultimate affirmation that I’m not a freak. [Mandy and I] were together for a while, and that is the only true thing that has ever been written about my romantic life.”

And in the upcoming Feb. issue of Jane Magazine, Mandy shares about the depression she experienced soon after breaking up with Zach: “A few months ago, I felt really low, really sad. I’m a very positive person, and I’ve always been ‘glass half-full.’ So it was like someone flipped a switch in me.”

Mandy is currently in the early stages of dating Adam “DJ A.M.” Goldstein (Nicole Richie’s ex). The two lovebirds were spotted spending quality time with one another just yesterday in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival (pictured below).

Mandy Moore and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein were spotted out once again, leaving a restaurant together in Beverly Hills, Calif. Mandy, 22, and DJ AM, 33, gave each other hugs before loading up into their respective Toyota Prius Hybrids. Yes, both are environmentalists apparently!

Mandy Moore rocked the royal blue at the the Cartier holiday celebration last night in honor of the grand re-opening at The Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey. On hand were Frederic De Narp, president and CEO of Cartier and Thomas Carfora, director of “Short Hills Cartier.”

Mandy, 22, is supposed to have a Justin Theroux-directed film out later this year according to IMDB but it seems like that will be delayed. Dedication is a romantic comedy that follows a misogynistic children’s book author (Billy Crudup) who is forced to work closely with a female illustrator (Mandy Moore) instead of his long-time collaborator and only friend (Tom Wilkinson).
