A Mandy-Mindy Movie in the Making

Mandy Moore was spotted with The Office’s Mindy Kaling (inset) returning home to L.A. from Vancouver on Monday night.

The pair was returning home after filming scenes for their upcoming romantic comedy License To Wed co-starring Robin Williams and John Krasinski (also from The Office). Release date: July 4.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, Mindy commented on Mandy’s perfect skin: “Oh, my god, I am like so in love with Mandy Moore. She has the most perfect skin I have ever seen.”

Also pictured: Mandy Moore totes around her Jimmy Choo Ramona handbag as she travels through LAX airport to catch a flight with her assistant on Tuesday afternoon.

Mandy Moore and DJ AM Hold Hands

New couple Mandy Moore and Adam “DJ A.M” Goldstein are still going strong, celebrating their Valentine’s Day love for each other at the happiest place on earth — Disneyland in California.

I dare you to tell me Mandy doesn’t look happy and totally in love here.

But Mandy and DJ A.M. totally got shafted. Mickey Mouse didn’t personalize a cake for them like he did for Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman! That’s so busted.

Mandy Moore Disses Nicole Richie

Is the rift growing between Mandy Moore and Nicole Richie?

It certainly seems that way when Mandy lays the smackdown in the March 2007 Spring Shopping issue of Seventeen Magazine.

The 22-year-old actor/songstress is dating Nicole Richie’s ex Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein and brings Nicole up in her yet-to-be-released Seventeen interview.

Mandy rips on Nicole’s body image saying, “I’m not Nicole Richie. I’m not like a toothpick, and I will never be.” Them fighting words! The March 2007 issue of Seventeen hits newsstands Feb. 13 — just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Mandy Moore and Diane Keaton’s romantic comedy Because I Said So hits theaters today.

UPDATE 1:: Here’s Mandy’s full quote: “Oh, God! I tell you what: In this industry it’s my job to look a certain way or whatnot — and it’s’ weird for mem too. But I’m much happier to present this type of person. I’m not Nicole Richie. I’m not like a toothpick, and I will never be. I’m just a regular-looking person — and that’s okay. I’s taken a while to come to grips with that since its’ definitely not the norm in my business. But, like, who cares? If anything, that makes someone more special — or at least that’s what I tell myself. [Laughs]

Mandy Moore & DJ AM Kiss Yet Again

Mandy Moore gave boyfriend (it’s official, right?) a big wet one on the streets of L.A. after eating breakfast together yesterday morning. I’m still speechless, I don’t know why. [via People]

Here’s Mandy’s latest blog entry that she posted minutes ago. She means Sofia, not Sophia and it seems this was supposed to be posted yesterday as she talks about the Because I Said So premiere, which was yesterday. But look out for her Vanity Fair photoshoot!! Check it:

J’adore Paris!!

Ok. Without a doubt, I could live in Paris. I love it more and more with each visit. While the first 24 hours there were a tad hectic (to say the least), I rewarded myself with “A Few Days Down” in my favorite city. Sundance to New York. New York to a red-eye flight to Paris and straight off the plane into a photo shoot for Vanity Fair was deserving of at least a couple of good days of shopping. And so the fun/work began…..:)

Paris has some of the best vintage shopping in my opinion (a personal favorite). I must say, I was pretty thankful to Sophia Coppola (who was kind enough to mention a few of her favorite shops in a New York Times article I read a while back) and I ended up following her “lead” around town. I am also always thankful for concierges who are somehow able to conjure up big enough boxes to ship stuff home. That way, I leave feeling good about going home with the same amount of luggage I started with……..

It’s definitely the city in which I want to spend time writing future music. The flea market!! The wine and cheese!!! The language!!! I made a pact with my friend Ed that I would live in Paris sometime within the next 2 years. Here’s hoping I can keep my word. I’m starting french lessons as soon as I’m home for more than a day.

OK, OK…..I’m off to get ready for the “Because I Said So” Premiere. My best friends from NYC (Raina and Heather) are in town to attend with me….. VERY exciting. :)

Mandy Moore Goes Magenta

Mandy Moore arrived last night at the world premiere of her new chick flick Because I Said So at ArcLight Hollywood, Calif. Her unconfirmed boyfriend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was not in attendance, sadly. (You know, the one she was spotted kissing at Sundance.)

Because I Said So tells the story of a meddling mother (Diane Keaton, pictured below) trying to set her daughter (Mandy Moore) up with the right man so her kid won’t follow in her footsteps. The film opens in theaters nationwide this Friday, Feb. 2.

If you haven’t checked out Mandy’s new song “Extraordinary,” do that now!

Mandy Moore - “Extraordinary” Lyrics

Mandy Moore just released a brand spankin’ new song called “Extraordinary” from her upcoming album “Wild Hope.” I transcribed all of the extraordinary lyrics the best that my hard-of-hearing ears could. I really love the last stanza. Check it out below!

MANDY MOORE - “EXTRAORDINARY” LYRICS

I was a bay tree
Quiet and unseen
I lived in stories but inside I kept a mystery
I was a starling
Nobody’s darling
Flying in perfect circles
Desperate company

[Chorus]
And now I’m ready
And now I’m ready
And now I’m ready to be
Extraordinary

A midnight airplane
A window blowing
I know I am another sparkle in the sky
I shine on copper
Still undiscovered
But you must see me in the corner of your eye

(Chorus)

Waking up to wake up some day
I am my own prey
Stopping off at a sidewalk cafe
The wind is playing up in the trees
Kicking up confetti leaves
Sings as if it’s all to say

(Chorus x2)

Here’s what Mandy had to say about writing the “Extraordinary“: “There are times when everyone hits a point of wanting and knowing they can go beyond what they deem their limits to be. Personally, it took me a while to come to this conclusion and it was quite a bold move for me to make. I consider myself to be pretty shy and have trouble expressing myself in certain situations, so writing this song is one of the most honest, humble things I have ever done and said in my life. To anyone. It felt as good to sing it as it did to write it.”

You can download Mandy Moore’s “Extraordinaryhere [mp3]. And be sure to check out Mandy’s new film, Because I Said So, which comes out this Friday!

Braff and Moore Depressed Each Other

Mandy Moore and Zach Braff dated each other from late 2004 to September 2006. Their break-up may have hit them both harder than they care to admit.

Zach told Parade Magazine just last week, “I think I suffer from some mild depression. So to have millions of people go, ‘I watched your movie and related’ was the ultimate affirmation that I’m not a freak. [Mandy and I] were together for a while, and that is the only true thing that has ever been written about my romantic life.”

And in the upcoming Feb. issue of Jane Magazine, Mandy shares about the depression she experienced soon after breaking up with Zach: “A few months ago, I felt really low, really sad. I’m a very positive person, and I’ve always been ‘glass half-full.’ So it was like someone flipped a switch in me.”

Mandy is currently in the early stages of dating Adam “DJ A.M.” Goldstein (Nicole Richie’s ex). The two lovebirds were spotted spending quality time with one another just yesterday in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival (pictured below).
