Tennis superstar and global brand ambassador for Sony Ericsson Maria Sharapova strikes a pose in the window of Liberty store as she unveils winning designs from students at UKs’ London College of Fashion on Wednesday (June 17).

The 22-year-old has been on the upswing after undergoing shoulder surgery last October. At the 2009 French Open, she battled hard throughout the tournament and made it to the quarterfinals despite so many months away from the courts.

On Wednesday (June 24) at Wimbledon 2009, she suffered a tough three set defeat to Gisela Dulko of Argentina where she miraculously saved four match points in the third set.

Maria Sharapova gets dolled up for the the 2009 Sony Ericsson Open Kick Off Party at the LIV Nightclub in the Hotel Fontainebleau in Miami, Florida on Wednesday (March 25).

Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku was also on-hand for the festivities.

The 21-year-old tennis star also attended a promotional event for Cole Haan at the CH store at the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables, Florida on Wednesday. Maria sported a “Phoebe” bag with “London Air T-strap” shoes (both Cole Haan).

Maria is currently on-the-mend after withdrawing from the Australian Open earlier int he year. She is now ranked 30th in the world.

Maria Sharapova (in Lanvin) unveils the new Canon PowerShot Diamond Collection at Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport on Wednesday in New York City.

At the event, Maria unveiled five diamond-studded Canon PowerShot SD 1100 IS Digital ELPH cameras, with an estimated value of about $12,000 each.

On Thursday, August 21, you can visit the Canon Center Court at South Street Seaport, NYC, where you can pose with Maria Sharapova for pictures.

300 star Camilla Belle (in Valentino) joins tennis champ BFF Maria Sharapova at the Valentino Haute Couture fall/winter 2008-09 collection shown in Paris, France on Wednesday.

Also pictured is designer Giorgio Armani’s niece, Roberta, who helped dress Katie Holmes and her wedding party for TomKat’s nuptials.

Sharapova, 21, who was seeded third in the Wimbledon tennistournament, endured a straight-sets second-round beating from a player ranked 154th in the world, losing 6-2, 6-4 loss to Alla Kudryavtsev. After the match, Maria said: “I have had to deal with a lot of ups and downs in my life, on and off the court. But the number one thing is not to be disappointed by that, or by losses, or by negative things, things here and there. You have to find a way to keep your head even though it’s pretty tough.”

Tennis babe Maria Sharapova and actress Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.) serve up a helping hand at the Baptist Children’s Hospital on Thursday in Miami, Florida.

Maria, 20, is looking forward to the Summer Olympics and has dreamed of competing.”It’s been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl, so it’s been one of my priorities for a very long time,” Maria said. “The Olympics comes around only once every four years and the U.S. Open is there every single year. One of the things I’m really looking forward to is the opening ceremony and walking with all the athletes from my country in front of thousands of people.”

Tennis champ Maria Sharapova has been named the first global brand ambassador for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.

Sharapova, 20, signed an exclusive seven-figure, four-year sponsorship agreement with Sony Ericsson.

Dee Dutta, corporate vice-president and head of marketing at Sony Ericsson, said:”Now in our seventh year as a company, the brand has evolved significantly and securing a global brand ambassador is a natural progression to take our band to the next level in an increasingly competitive market place.

Tennis star Maria Sharapova prepares for a tough semifinal at the East West Bank Classic.

Fresh off a victory in San Diego and on her way to another in Los Angeles, Maria goes for a workout between matches.

Apparently, Maria did not work out hard enough because she withdrew 20 minutes before her semifinal match against Nadia Petrova at the East West Bank Classic on Saturday night because of a lower left leg strain.
