• TLC has developed new show, Mall Cops: Mall of America, which will revolve around security guards patrolling the biggest mall in the US, located in Bloomington, Minn. The show premieres early next year.
• Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks had to cancel a trip to Australia where she was scheduled to sing with Australian Idol Guy Sebastian, following an attack of acute appendicitis on Tuesday. She had an appendectomy yesterday and tweeted from the recovery room that she was “Feeling better but very sore.”

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon make an appearance together at the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday (November 9) in New York City.

The 39-year-old singer’s new film, Precious, took in $1.8 million in box office sales despite running in just 18 theaters throughout the United States. Precious is based on a novel by Sapphire called Push. The film itself takes place in Harlem, and shows the life of a disadvantaged teen that has struggled through life up to that point.

Mariah recently announced she will be performing live at New York’s famous Madison Square Garden for a special New Year’s Eve performance.

Mariah Carey arrives with her husband Nick Cannon in matching angel costumes for their Halloween party at M2 Ultra Lounge on (October 31) in New York City.

The 39-year-old singer will stop by The Jay Leno Show today (November 2) to promote the upcoming film Precious.

Mariah will also be busy visiting Larry King Live as well as The Ellen Degeneres Show on Wednesday (November 4).

Mariah Carey answers questions at a press conference at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel on Tuesday (October 13) in Seoul, South Korea.

The 39-year-old singer was asked about why she titled her album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. “Society seems to make people feel bad about not being perfect, especially in the entertainment business. I thought, wouldn’t it be cool if that would be the theme of the album and speak to the people who may be growing up, and you feel you’re not good enough…It’s one of those things when the title makes the record,” she said.

Mariah also answered questions about balancing her personal life and her career. “Some people didn’t live their lives wanting to be entertainers. I did,” she said. “I make music, I perform, this is who I am. I do definitely want to have a family. I got married a year and half ago … It is difficult to do both things. I have to take time to eventually to have a family with no dysfunction, it’s hard, and also try to make music. It’s a balancing act.”
