Jake Gyllenhaal @ Cannes ‘Zodiac’ Premiere
Jake Gyllenhaal attends the premiere and photocall for the Palme d’Or-nominated film Zodiac at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 in France on Thursday, accompanied by co-stars Mark Ruffalo and Chloe Sevigny. Azzedine Alaïa skirt, Oscar de la Renta peasant top, Lana Marks Scorpio belt (her astrological sign).
The trio, along with other cast and crew, arrived at Cannes via private boat on Wednesday.
Most of the media fired questions at Jake, who sang praises of his absent co-star Robert Downey Jr. He said, “A very good, interesting actor has about 25 ideas within a minute. Robert has about 5,000 in a minute. Some call that madness. I call that genius.”
Jake on the 158 minute running time of Zodiac: “This is not a normal length for a movie of this type. We were all really tired and we all took naps. Mark and Chloe and I once took a nap together in a trailer and we all had a nightmare. And we all held hands. It really helped.”
Jake then suggested that everyone in attendance hold hands. No one budged, reports The Associated Press.
