Giorgio Armani is spending New York Fashion Week with some famous friends - Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio!

The fashion maven will be hosting a cocktail at the Armani/Ristorante within the brand’s Fifth Avenue store in NYC on Tuesday (February 16) before the premiere of Martin and Leo’s film, Shutter Island, at the Ziegfeld Theatre the following day!

“Martin and I have known each other for many years and I am a great admirer of his work,” Giorgio said.

“I am delighted to be able to celebrate the opening in New York of his exciting new film…it really is an example of Martin at the top of his game and Leonardo’s performance is exceptional.”

Leonardo DiCaprio will reteam with director Martin Scorsese for Shutter Island, according to Variety.

Drama is set in 1954, with DiCaprio in final talks to play U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels, who is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.

Production for Shutter Island begins March 2008 in Massachusetts, Connecticut or Nova Scotia.

DiCaprio, 32, and Scorsese, 64, have worked together on three other films–Gangs of New York, The Aviator and The Departed.

Oscar nominees arrived at the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday. The actual award show will take place on Sunday, Feb 25. with Ellen DeGeneres as the host. Check out the pictures below; many more after the jump!
