Matt Damon, wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey, promotes Ocean’s Thirteen on Monday at The Late Show with David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City.
On how much fun baseball season is this year: “I’m just having so much fun this season. There’s a saying in Boston that we have two favorite teams. We have the Red Sox and whoever’s playing the Yankees.”
On his jet-setting daughter Isabella, who turns 1 on Monday: “I figured out a couple weeks ago - we were flying from Paris to New York - she feel asleep and I counted her stamps on her passport and she has 11 stamps on her passport. She’s got a lot of air miles.”
On Isabella crying for 8 hours straight on an Air France flight from Paris: “At the end of the flight, she ate dinner, she went to sleep. I finally turned to my wife and said, ‘I think she’s hard-of-hearing.’ Literally, we could not figure it out. Finally, we’re in the passport line and my curiosity got the better of me and I tapped her on the shoulder and said, ‘Listen, I just want to apologize if my daughter disturbed you on your flight.’ And she turned and said, ‘I have nine children. I spent 35 years raising children. That was a great flight for me.”
