H2O Africa co-founder Matt Damon just launched a new organization focused on bringing access to safe water and sanitation to the developing world — Water.org.

The 38-year-old actor formed the non-profit organization with Gary White, WaterPartners executive director and co-founder.

Matt explains the importance of launching Water.org, saying, “Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease. After visiting project sites in Africa and Asia with Gary, I’ve seen the problem and the impact of safe water. As a clear leader in the sector at delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for those in need, WaterPartners was the natural choice with whom to work to truly affect lasting change.”

Matt Damon has worked his way onto the season finale for HBO’s hit show, Entourage according to TvGuideMag.com.

Executive producer Doug Ellin talked about the finale, saying, “Lebron (James) and Matt have a scene together and they just kill it!”

Co-star Adrian Grenier added, “The joke is that Matt is very passionate about his charity – almost in a stalkerish kind of way. Vince (Adrian’s character) becomes intimated by his intensity. He ends up bullying Vince into giving much more than he should!”

BFFs and Matt Damon and Ben Affleck throw their chips in for the Ante Up for Africa celebrity poker tournament at the Rio Hotel & Casino on Thursday (July 2) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Proceeds from the event were given to Enough Project and the International Rescue Committee, which aid hundreds of thousands of people uprooted by the Darfur crisis in Sudan.

Matt Damon goes to dinner with his wife, Luciana at Madeo restaurant Sunday night (June 28) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 38-year-old actor has been rumored to fill the role of cyclist Lance Armstrong in a new film biopic. Though the film has been talked about for years, it could finally shoot as early as next year, according to producer Frank Marshall.

Gary Ross, who wrote and directed multiple-Oscar nominee Seabiscuit, has been hired to pen the Armstrong script, THR reported earlier this month.

ONEXONE Foundation Ambassador Matt Damon brings awareness to Africa’s water crisis, visiting a hand-dug well just outside Mekele, Ethiopia on Tuesday (April 20).

In his right hand, the 38-year-old actor holds a bottle of regular water, in his left is a bottle of dirty water local children in Mekele drink everyday.

Matt also made a trip to Rwanda, where he met President Paul Rigame and visited a Millennium Village, hospitals and clinics.

Matt Damon plays some serious rugby with kids on the set of his new film, Human Facto, on location in Guguletur in Cape Town, South Africa on Friday (March 13).

In the Clint Eastwood directed movie, Matt plays the role of Francois Pienaar, captain of the South African Springboks national rugby team. The movie, which also stars Morgan Freeman playing Nelson Mandela, spotlights the role of the 1995 Rugby Cup win in post apartheid South Africa.

It has also been confirmed that the 37 year old, Matt Damon, will be working on a fourth Bourne movie. He’ll be teaming up with director Paul Greengrass on an original script.

Matt Damon tells Parade that he doesn’t think the Academy necessarily gets it right when it comes down to honoring actors and films.

The 38-year-old actor shares, “I think that the best way to judge movies is, like, 10 years after they’re released. I think they should actually do the awards that way. I think they should have done the Academy Awards this year for movies from 1998. I think it’s better to look at a movie and then step back and look at it again. I don’t think - that the awards necessarily get it right. I think they get it wrong more often than they get it right.”
