Peep the first photo of Matt Damon on the set of the upcoming war drama Imperial Life in the Emerald City in Los Alcázares, Spain.

Damon, 37, is re-teaming with his Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass for the adaptation of Washington Post scribe Rajiv Chandrasekaran’s book about the chaotic attempts of the United States to bring down Iraq leader Saddam Hussein and set up a provisional government in his place. The film takes place in the Green Zone in Iraq.

Production will later move on to Morocco.

Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso leaves the kids at home and enjoy a double date night out on Friday with actor pal Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan.

The cute couples had romantic dinners together at Quattro Gastronomia Italiana Restaurant in Miami, Florida.

If you’re in Canada, you can catch Matt @ 8 p.m. on CTV. He’s hosting the One X One Gala fundraiser, which filmed in Toronto in September.

The star-studded event honored luminaries who have helped make the world a better place for children. This year’s award recipients included Richard Gere, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, supermodel Petra Nemcova, National Chief Phil Fontaine and entertainer Wyclef Jean. Jean also performed at the gala, along with Shakira, the African Children’s Choir and prodigy Nikki Yanofsky. This was the second consecutive year Matt hosted the event in Toronto.

Carseat queen Isabella Damon, 18 months, get carried out of a car by dad Matt in New York City early Saturday evening.

HEARTBREAKER IN TRAINING

Isabella Damon, 18 months, pouts her perfect lips while being carried though LAX airport by mommy Luciana Barroso on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Actor father Matt Damon was not far behind! And is that Luciana’s sister?

Papa Damon was seen pulling Isabella’s carseat out of the backseat of their chauffeured SUV while Luciana carried Isabella inside the airport.

The cute family had fellow travelers smiling as they made their way through security.

Earlier this week, Matt helped Isabella pet the animals at the Molly’s Mutts & Meows and Best Friends Animal Society adoption booth at a West Hollywood park along with Luciana. The family didn’t adopt an animal, but Isabella appeared to enjoy playing with the dogs, a park goer said.

Matt Damon, 37, meets up with The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass, 52, (dressed in green!) in Miami on Wednesday.

The two will team up again for Imperial Life in the Emerald City, due out in 2009. The film is an adaptation of the Rajiv Chandrasekaran authored book of the same name.

Set in Baghdad, Iraq, the story takes place in and around the Green Zone, which is the center of the international coalition. The plot revolves around the first year of the war in Iraq and the hunt for the weapons of mass destruction. Shooting for the film begins next January.

Matt Damon made a recent appearance on the Japanese TV show Let’s Go to School. The Bourne actor met 19-year-old world whistling champion Takumi Gima.

Matt watches Takumi whistle to Mozart and then whistle a duet with a 9-year-old girl. It’s hilarious when the cameraman zooms in on Matt’s foot, which is tapping to the beat of the two whistlers.

Matt also tries on some glasses, which are apparently very popular in Japan right now.

Towards the end of the segment on Let’s Go to School, Matt joins in and whistles to Michael Jackson’s “We are the World.” And then they start wrapping their arms around each other and start swaying!!!

Matt Damon takes the top honor in People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2007. Here’s what People had to say about the sexiest man alive:
