Matt Damon is Entertainment Weekly’s cover boy this week.

Was it that vague when you signed on to do [Bourne Ultimatum]? I did the whole movie that way. In any given scene I didn’t know where I’d just come from or where I was going. Which, as an actor, you kind of need! And Paul’s only direction was ”Butch-er and more intense!” Finally I was like, ”If you give me the f—ing ‘butch-er and more intense’ note one more time, I’m gonna kick your ass!” It’s incredible that we’ve been able to pull the rabbit out of the hat three times.

Have you seen Ben Affleck’s new movie yet [Gone, Baby, Gone, which Affleck directed]? Yeah, it’s great! Unequivocally great.

Was it strange for you guys to be in Hawaii together this summer with your wives and kids? Was there ever a moment where you just laughed and said, Jesus, look at us? Yeah, seeing the kids playing together, that was a trip.

What do you miss most about bachelorhood? It’s got to be the whores [laughs]. No, I mean my bachelorhood was kind of squandered making movies.

And in box office news… The Bourne Ultimatum pulled in a cool $70.2 million this weekend. Identity opened with $27.1 million and Supremacy opened at $52.5 million. Will the fourth Bourne film open even higher??

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Matt Damon was bumped from his very own Bourne Ultimatum movie trailer by Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo.

During the past few years, Kimmel has closed nearly every show with an apology to Matt Damon for bumping him due to time constraints. Then last week, Kimmel placed an ad in Daily Variety congratulating Damon’s recent star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but let everyone know that the ad cost him $8,512.

Matt Damon grabs lunch at hamburger joint Silver Spurs Restaurant in NYC’s Greenwich Village on Wednesday with mom Nancy, wife Luciana and daughters Alexia, 9, and Isabella, 13 months.

Later in the day, Matt tape his appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman (watch video).

Matt’s “threequel,” The Bourne Ultimatum, is getting great reviews. It opens in theaters on Friday, August 3rd. Tomorrow!!!

Matt Damon struts his beefy body into the Ed Sullivan Theater for The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday in New York City. The Bourne Ultimatum actor wore his support for hometown team, The Boston Red Sox.

On Letterman, Matt shared a funny story about George Clooney calling him the night before the Ocean’s 13 cast got their hand and footprints taken at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. George recommended he get “big shoes” because “the concrete shrinks.”

“JOHN WAYNE HAD GIRL FEET?!?!?”

Matt is a size 11 shoe and wound up wearing a size 12. Because of shrinkage, George wound up wearing a size 14!!!!

It’s like the age-old Seinfeld episode with the pool shrinkage. But now all celebrities getting their footprints done should be warned about concrete shrinkage!

Matt Damon gets sandwiched between wife Luciana and mom Nancy at the premiere of The Bourne Ultimatum at the Harkins Theater in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night.

On the red carpet, he talked about the need for environmentally-friendlyu movie sets: “You hear actors huff and puff about global warming, but you’ll go on a movie set and see like 8,000 Styrofoam cups laying around.”

Matt also recently chatted about how his daughter informs his movie career: “Those are the kinds of things where I say, ‘Well, do I want my daughter exposed, knowing that her dad makes movies like this or that?’ There are so many movies that drive my mom just totally crazy, because there are these thousands of acts of violence. The movies are rated PG-13, but the toys are marketed to ages 4 and up. So you get these kids who are just getting pounded by this imagery from a very young age. I don’t want to be a part of that.”

The Bourne Ultimatum opens in theaters this Friday, August 3rd!

Matt Damon and wife Luciana take a baby break from Isabella and enjoy a dinner out at Beverly Hills eatery Mastro’s Steakhouse on Friday.

Tonight is The Bourne Ultimatum premiere and reception in Boise, Idaho. Tomorrow will be the charity premiere in Oklahoma City.

Matt was recently asked, “How do you feel when George Clooney classifies you as a ‘whore for money’?” He replied, “I’d worry if George Clooney were nice about me in public. That’s when I’d really worry that something was wrong.”

Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso check out of Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles to attend his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, where her received the 2,343rd star.

At the ceremony, Matt thanked his mom “for giving me life, that was nice, and my wife for giving me a beautiful step-daughter and daughter”.

“I’m just thankful to you all for just taking a minute and sharing one of the biggest moments of my life, I’m thankful to all the people who came here and I’m thankful that the Red Sox are in first place!”

Matt also joked, “It’ll probably sink in when I walk down this street in the middle of the night in about six months and see someone peeing on my star!”

13-month-old Isabella also enjoys the gardens of the Beverly Hills Hotel with her paternal grandmother Nancy Carlsson-Paige.

If you caught Matt Damon on Letterman last night, he chatted up CleanMyRide.org and the importance of flex fuels.

Matt is helping to make “people aware that Congress is about to begin an important debate about the energy bill. The bill is a good start, but it still needs provisions to take on the really big stuff - increasing gas mileage requirements and mandating the availability of flexible-fuels. These tough solutions will slash oil use and slow global warming.”
