The 49-year-old actor plays sick for the day and goes on an adventure all over town, visiting places that will be familiar to Ferris Bueller fans!

Sarah Jessica Parker walks hand in hand with her son James as they leave their apartment to go to school on Friday (January 20) in New York City.

The CW has ordered a pilot for The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to the long-running series Sex and the City. The series will follow Sarah‘s character Carrie Bradshaw coming of age in the 1980s, “asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family, while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan.”

A new version of Beauty and the Beast has also been ordered by The CW, according to EW.

Claire Danes looks radiant in red at the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum launch party held at the IAC Headquarters on Wednesday (December 7) in New York City.

The 32-year-old Homeland actress, who was joined by her hubby Hugh Dancy, met up with Valentino Garavani himself at the bash!

Also coming out for the launch party were Olivia Palermo and Sarah Jessica Parker (in a Pauline Trigere dress) with hubby Matthew Broderick.

The 46-year-old actress paired a vintage Pauline Trigere dress with a Judith Leiber bag, Manolo Blahnik heels, and Fenton and Fred Leighton jewelry.

“You have good days, you have decent days, and you have bad days. That’s a marriage,” SJP recently told the Telegraph.

“That’s a relationship,” she added. “If you’re in it for the long haul and you want meaningful relationships you are going to go through lots of different periods.”

Michelle Obama and Sarah Jessica Parker look stylish as can be at the 34th Kennedy Center Honors held at the Kennedy Center Hall of States on Sunday (December 4) in Washington, DC.

Michelle, accompanied by President Obama, and Sarah, accompanied by Matthew Broderick, were joined at the event by Emily Blunt and her hubby John Krasinski.

Emily gave a tribute to one of the honor recipients and her The Devil Wears Prada co-star, Meryl Streep (pictured inside).

“[Meryl]‘s actually doing at least two jobs. First, her own character, who is always so complete, so natural, you forget that somewhere in there is Meryl Streep. Then the second is stabilizing the other actor who is having a nervous breakdown because they’re in a scene with Meryl Streep,” Emily said.

Other honorees included Barbara Cook, Neil Diamond, Sonny Rollins, and Yo-Yo Ma.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick hit the red carpet for the reopening of the revamped New York City Center on Tuesday (October 25) in New York City.

The 46-year-old actress and her hubby checked out the new renovations to the center, which was inaugurated in 1943 and had a $56 million facelift.

The center’s main theater now seats 2250 people comfortably with better views of the stage than before, the Washington Post reports.
