Penn Badgley attends the Heineken-sponsored U.S. Open Player Party at NYC’s Skyline Studios on Friday (August 28). The 22-year-old Gossip Girl actor hung out in the VIP area with his on-screen dad Matthew Settle (pictured below) and his real-life wife Naama Nativ. PB: You’re Just Jared? I feel like I’m meeting a celebrity right now!

JJ: I’m just a blogger! Are you a big tennis fan?

PB: You’re so nice! Well, my dad was an avid player, so it’s in my world. (Hence the name Penn, a tennis brand.) I’ve always been aware of it and I’ve always kind of enjoyed it, but I haven’t watched it. In the past two or three years, I’ve started to watch.

JJ: Have you ever been to the US Open or Wimbledon?

PB: No! Every year we’ve been in New York shooting, I’ve wanted to go but I haven’t been able to because of the show. But now, this year, the final is on a Sunday so we’re gonna go!

The Gossip Girl spin-off will reportedly center around Serena’s mom, Lily, and Dan’s dad, Rufus, currently played by Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle.

“The show will focus on the early romance between Lily and Rufus,” an insider tells Star. “It begins when they first meet, during a time when Rufus and his band are at the height of their career. The show will follow the high society and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle in New York.”

None of the original cast members will be leaving the show as, the insiders adds, “two new actors will be hired to play the young Lily and Rufus. Producers are planning to introduce the new couple during a flashback scene in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl.”

Lipstick Jungle hunk Robert Buckley cozies up to Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr at the grand opening of Mohegan Sun’s “Casino of the Wind” on Saturday in Uncasville, Conn.

The pair were joined by Gossip’s Matthew Settle, Lipstick’s Lindsay Price, actress Stacy Keibler and actor Geoff Stults (all pictured below). Performing for the evening was former American Idol contestant Blake Lewis, who rocked the Lucky’s Lounge.

Gossip Girl’s resident hot mama Kelly Rutherford glows in a floral frock by Dior on Wednesday at cocktail party held at the Empire Hotel Rooftop in New York City.

Dior Beauty was celebrating brand ambassador and socialite Tinsley Mortimer’s cameo on the season two premiere of Gossip Girl. Guests included costars Nicole Fiscella and Matthew Settle (with wife Naama Nativ), actress/designer Tara Subkoff and models Jessica Stam and May Andersen.
