Megan Fox opens up to the New York Times in her Screen Test segment, released this weekend.

The 23-year-old Transformers bombshell spoke about her Wizard of Oz obsession, swimming and her tattoos.

On The Wizard of Oz: I wanted to be Dorothy for many years of my life! Until I was about six, I would wear my hair in pigtails and I think my grandmother made the costume - the little gingham checked jumper - and I had ruby slippers.

“I made my mom call me Dorothy. I wouldn’t answer her or listen to her if she called me Megan ’cause that wasn’t my name.”

On swimming: “I was a swimmer when I was a kid. I was on a competitive team from the time I was 5 until I was 14 and I used to compete in state championships. I thought that’s what I was gonna be.

“I have a pretty strong butterfly still. I’m much slower than I used to be, which is very sad. But it’s still decent - my form is there, the speed is gone.”

On getting tattoos: “When I get tattoos, I don’t necessarily think them out. I don’t put a lot of thought into them the way that some people do. They’re sort of more impulsive purchases.”

Megan Fox and her longtime boyfriend Brian Austin Green shop at the Sherman Oaks mall with his son Kassius, 7, in Los Angeles on Wednesday (November 18).

Brian and Kassius got in some good father-son bonding time and picked up handmade pretzels and drinks at Wetzel’s Pretzels. Megan was seen purchasing a few beauty products from the Sephora store.

Megan Fox stops by the Coffee Bean cafe to grab some much needed caffeine on Saturday (November 14) in Studio City, Calif.

The 23-year-old Jennifer’s Body hottie recently shared why she thinks her latest horror movie tanked at the box office.

“People expected Jennifer’s Body to make so much money,” Megan told the NY Times. “But I was doubtful. The movie is about a man-eating, cannibalistic lesbian cheerleader, and that pretty much eliminates middle America.”

Back in June, the Transformers actress also wished the robot-alien Megatron destroyed middle America.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green grab a bite to eat on Monday (November 9) at a Thai restaurant in Burbank, Calif.

The 23-year-old Transformers star looked cozy in Uggs and a warm scarf.

Megan recently told Australia’s Daily Telegraph that while she understands that her life can be under scrutiny - “People are waiting for you to do something they can get angry about” - she and Brian are a low-key couple.

“We stay home and watch TV,” she shared. “We play pool and pinball, and that’s it!”

Megan Fox strikes up a lively conversation with her boyfriend Brian Austin Green as they run errands together in Los Angeles on Thursday (November 5).

The 23-year-old Transformers star has recently expressed her interest in raising awareness of neglected children.

“Overall, in terms of this business, I hope to gain the status that will enable me to be truly and legitimately helpful to people,” Megan said. “I feel like that’s my purpose in life, to do charity work and help people around the world on a global level. Being part of this business, you have so much influence and you can really make a difference. I’m drawn towards the idea of somehow helping children.”

Megan Fox and boyfriend Brian Austin Green are the latest Hollywood Hills residents who have fallen victim to celeb break-ins.

TMZ reports items stolen from Brian’s home include his recreational gun and lots of clothes — including a few of Megan’s t-shirts.

Because Brian has been shooting a movie in NYC, he didn’t even know he was burglarized. Last week, the cops retrieved the stolen items and returned them to him.

Megan Fox picked up the Best Sci-Fi Actress during Spike TV’s 2009 Scream Awards on Saturday (October 17).

During her acceptance speech, the 23-year-old Transformers hottie took the time to clear up some rumors: “I don’t usually do this, but I want to take this moment to actually say something genuine. There have been a lot of false reports done concerning how I feel about this movie. I just want to be very clear that I’ve always felt that I’m a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film and these movies took me out of obscurity and they gave me a career and I’m completely grateful to everyone involved in and with this franchise.”

Megan continued, “I don’t know why you keep voting for me for these things. I don’t feel like I deserve them. But thank you and I love you so much.”
