The 27-year-old actress met up with Michelle Monaghan at the soiree, which was hosted by Frederic Fekkai and Vogue‘s West Coast editor Lisa Love.

The night before, the 41-year-old actor promoted his new flick on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Gerry recently opened up about prepping for his role as Sam Childers, the former drug-dealing biker who finds God and becomes a crusader for child soldiers.

“[Sam] gave me his bible. There was a million things. I watched documentaries on fundamentalism, on preaching, on bikers, everything – all the different things that made Sam who he is,” he shared.

Gerard Butler hits the red carpet at the Creative Coalition’s 2011 Spotlight Initiative Awards held at the Roosevelt Room during the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 10) in Toronto, Canada.

The 41-year-old actor was joined on the carpet by his Machine Gun Preacher co-star Michelle Monaghan, who was honored with an award during the evening.

“To be honoured with a Spotlight Award means a lot to me, actually,” Michelle said. “I think it’s important to recognize projects that take a risk, and this one isn’t afraid to confront the audience with some tough material.”

That evening, Gerard also checked out the premiere of the film Rampart during the festival.
