On playing an older seductress opposite 26-year-old Rupert Friend in the upcoming film Cheri: “I so hate the term [cougar]!”

On her husband of fifteen years, television producer David E. Kelley: “Can you imagine, for 20 years, trying to stay mysterious in your relationship? That’s the worst advice I’ve ever heard. Of all the people in your life you don’t want to hide from, it’s your partner.”

Timeless beauty, Michelle Pfeiffer dazzles as she walks the red carpet
at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival premiere for Cheri in Berlin, Germany on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old actress returns to the silver screen in Cheri, where she plays the character Lea de Lonval. The film is a romantic drama set in Paris in the 1920s. The son of a courtesan must end a relationship with an older woman after learning the ways of love.

At the festival, Pfeiffer talked about being fabulous at 50, saying, “If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait till you hit 50 — and I was surprised at how liberating it was!”

Nikki Blonsky nabbed a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Hairspray. The film itself also was nominated for “Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy”.

Other nominees include: Across the Universe, Charlie Wilson’s War, Juno and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Congrats to Nikki, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes and Zac Efron on the nominations. Good luck on January 13th!

Famed photographer Mario Testino, who most recently shot Brad Pitt for V Magazine, has a new book coming out called “Let Me In”.

The 300-page book, out Sept. 26, is Testino’s personal archive of off-screen moments in color and black and white, featuring more than 100 contemporary stars including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (and some of the kids), Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Ford, Adrien Brody, Kate Hudson, Claudia Schiffer, Gisele Bundchen, Michelle Pfeiffer, George Clooney, Madonna, Anjelica Huston and Matt Dillon.

The foreword was written by Nicole Kidman. The cover is shared by Demi Moore and hubby Ashton Kutcher. Check out the preview pictures below!

If you haven’t seen the Broadway musical of Hairspray, you can catch Ashley Parker Angel, formerly of boy band O-Town, as Link Larkin, starting Jan. 19.
