Michelle Williams takes her daughter Matilda, 3, for their regular coffee run during an early morning stroll to their neighborhood cafe in Brooklyn, New York on Friday (January 30).

An out-of-court deal was recently reached in a lawsuit over Heath Ledger’s $10 million life insurance policy. A lawyer for the actor had sued ReliaStar Life Insurance company, claiming it was refusing to pay death benefits to his daughter Matilda. ReliaStar had refused to honor the policy because it asserted that Heath’s death could have been a suicide. Details of the settlement are being kept confidential.

Michelle Williams chats away on her cell phone and spots shutterbugs in midtown New York City on Monday afternoon.

The 28-year-old actress recently dished on how her role in new film, Wendy & Lucy, was a true gift. She shared, “It’s a gift to be able to work in the exact way that you have always wanted to. I feel really lucky. The performances aren’t performances, they’re just like a documentary, you feel like you are spying on people, and that has always been the kind of filmmaking that I like.”

Wendy & Lucy opened in limited theaters on December 10th.

Matilda Ledger takes a spin around Brooklyn on her tricycle on Tuesday morning. Her mom, Michelle Williams, was MIA.

Michelle was recently interviewed by Parade:

Weren’t you ever afraid of being alone in Hollywood as a teenager? Hindsight. Isn’t it great? The risks of going into L.A. at such an early age are huge. At the time, I was invincible. I thought I was on top of the world. I didn’t realize what I was doing. But I wouldn’t trade any of those experiences for anything in the world. I am who I am because of them. I had a lot of growing up to do and it was slammed into a couple of short years. I did stupid, crazy things. But those stupid crazy things prepared me to deal with future.

What’s guiding you now? I think that, above all, it would be perseverance. I can’t really be objective, but the one thing that I’ve always had is an incredible amount of determination. And I guess it’s innate within everybody. It’s just a survival skill.

Earlier this year, the low-key couple was snapped spending time together in Brooklyn and L.A.

Director Spike, 38, is currently at work directing the movie adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are, which is now in its post-production stages.
