Playboy boss Hugh Hefner has invited Disney sensation Miley Cyrus to pose in the pages of his men’s magazine.

In light of Miley’s Vanity Fair photo scandal, Hugh told Extra at the Playboy Mansion last night that he love the 15-year-old tween queen to star in Playboy when she’s of legal age.

Hugh said, “Sure, she’d be welcomed in the magazine. Very pretty lady. And I think to make such a big to do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality.”

With a Hannah Montana empire worth $1 billion, Miley surely wouldn’t do this because she’s strapped for cash!

While Miley Cyrus‘ legal name has been Destiny Hope Cyrus, she officially got her name changed last week at a Santa Monica Courthouse.

Miley’s dad Billy Ray told Oprah he had a very special reason for giving her that name. “I had this vision that it was her destiny to bring hope to the world,” Billy Ray says. “And as a baby, she just kept smiling all the time. So her name was Destiny Hope, but I started calling her Smiley. Then as you start talking to a baby, you start dropping the S’s off the front end, and pretty soon Smiley became Miley.”

Lawyer William R. Sobel represented the Hannah Montana star at the Santa Monica Courthouse on Thursday morning, and the change was made official by Supervising Judge Gerald Rosenberg, reported Fox News.

“She was never referred to as Destiny Hope, ever since childhood she has been Miley Ray and the family wanted her common name to be her legal name,” Sobel told the court.

Amidst the recent scandal surrounding Miley Cyrus‘ Vanity Fair photos, the Disney star has been pulled from her first scheduled public appearance.

Miley Ray Cyrus, 15, was supposed to appear at a media party/red carpet event on Friday in Orlando along with other Disney stars. The Disney Channel Games, a charity competition, plan to go ahead without the Hannah Montana star.

Disney had no further comment without regard to Miley’s withdrawal.

Here are the very first pictures of Miley Cyrus resurfacing after flashing her green bra and posing semi-topless for Vanity Fair.

The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star was seen out and about with a family friend and her kid sister, Noah, 8. The trio were seen shopping at Target in Nashville, Tennessee.

Miley was all smiley as she chatted on her cell phone and chugged on a Red Bull. Noah playfully ran around Miley, asking her if she could say hi to “Peter”. Miley was also overheard telling “Peter” about a fall she had and laughing about it.

When photogs asked Miley about the infamous Vanity Fair photos, Miley smiled and said “No comment.”

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who recently herself got into some controversy for posing “topless” for AARP magazine, weighs in on Miley Cyrus’s semi-topless scandal with Vanity Fair. Here’s an excerpt from her opinion piece:

When these young people get all dressed up for award show red-carpet events don’t we all comment how beautiful, stunning and grown-up they look in their strapless/backless dresses and heels and tousled hair? None of this is new. None of this should be news. But it is news because it is a business. It is all Business. It is called Show Business. Show Abyss-ness! I call it Show-OFF Business. You throw a child onto the jaws of a business and they will get eaten.

I know how Miley feels. I too was a little embarrassed by my recent topless “scandal” and the subsequent parodies, but I am an adult woman. I protected myself during the shoot and I can take the heat. I only wish that her guardians had protected her.

Miley Cyrus has become the center of a media storm for a semi-topless photograph, taken by Annie Liebovitz for Vanity Fair’s June issue.

As you can see, the 15-year-old media darling made front page news of the New York Post with the headline exclaiming, Miley’s Shame.

The near-nude pic shows Miley clutching a satin sheet to her chest with her back bare exposed. In her interview with the mag, Miley said the picture is “really artsy,” but not “in a skanky way.”

She has since apologized to the public for the photos.

“Somebody needs to pull in the reins of this talented little gal before her career stampedes off into the sunset,” says the LA Times.
