Derek Jeter, New York Yankee shortstop was seen having dinner with Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly at New York City’s Kobe Club restaurant according to OK!.

Apparently, Minka, 27, has moved on after ex-boyfriend John Mayer has moved onto Jennifer Aniston. Ms. Kelly has also recently been linked to Topher Grace, although, they deny any romance is in the works.

Derek, 33, has been quite the ladies man, previously linked to Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster, Adriana Lima, Vanessa Minnillo, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel.

Minka Kelly gets her Speed Racer on as she arrives at the film’s world premiere at the Nokia Theatre on Saturday in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old up and coming starlet from Friday Night Lights will be returning for the series’ third season on DirecTV next fall. Minka also had a small role in the Jamie Foxx/ Jennifer Garner war thriller The Kingdom.

Friday Night Lights hottie Minka Kelly is featured in the latest issue of Men’s Health. She spills on what it takes to date a smart, ambitious woman like her. Here’s what Minka had to say:

On her career being the most important thing in her life: “A man has to be passionate about something. He has to be focused and genuine. He has to have drive. I really believe that our careers are our first loves. And I think a career should be as important for him as it is for me. And that we should be able to understand that we come second.”

On a guy needing to know more about the radiator than she does: “A man has to be good with his hands. He can’t be a person who needs to hire someone to do handiwork. I can change the oil in my car. If you can’t change your oil, we have a problem.”

On guys needed to shut up already: “A lot of guys don’t know how to just listen. They’ll talk and talk, and I just want them to get to know me. That’s attractive. You don’t want to come across as someone who can only talk about himself.”

On needing an imperfect guy: “A man should love his family, but I don’t do well with guys who come from perfect families. He has to be a little complicated and broken. I can’t relate to the perfectly home-bred boy. I want someone who has had pain in his life and learned from it.”

John Mayer shoots a secret music video off Mulholland Drive with a Los Angeles backdrop late Sunday afternoon.

Earlier that morning, John was seen leaving his house with rumored girlfriend Minka Kelly of Friday Night Lights fame.

Mayer’s latest song “Say” from the soundtrack to The Bucket List has sold over 39,700 downloads to date. The song is about saying out loud what you feel in your heart. Check out the music video here.
