The 23-year-old former O.C. star recently shared about how everyone thinks she’s American, but is actually British. “I haven’t lived here since I was tiny, but my entire family is British and I’ve been raised as a Brit,” Mischa said. My sister lives and works in London as a barrister, but nobody can get their head round the fact I’m anything but a Hollywood girl. In the US nobody thinks of me as American, and here, nobody believes I’m British.”

Mischa also told the Daily Mail about how she tried to lose her British accent. “When I lived in New York I tried really hard to ditch the British accent to fit in. I went to classes and everything.” she said. “I ended up putting on this terrible ‘Nu Yawk’ accent and hid behind that for a while. Now I don’t try to hide it so much, but my accent slips all over the place. It’s a mess - I don’t sound like I’m from anywhere any more.”

Mischa Barton celebrates the Harrods Summer Sale held at London’s Harrods Knightsbridge on Saturday (June 27).

The 23-year-old former O.C. star held hands with the Harrods boss, Egyptian businessman Mohamed al-Fayed (pictured below).

Mischa’s new show The Beautiful Life premieres @ 9PM ET/PT on Wednesday, September 16 on The CW. The Beautiful Life will be executive produced by Ashton Kutcher and will revolve around a group of male and female models sharing a residence in New York City. The show will air on Wednesdays @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW (after America’s Next Top Model).

On April 22, the 23-year-old former O.C. actress wore another another floor-grazing gown to London’s Dorchester Hotel for The FiFi UK Fragrance Awards. She finished off her look with her favorite $3K Louis Vuitton “Spicy Sandals.”

While leaving her hotel on April 25, Mischa continued the thrasher jeans trend.

Former O.C. star Mischa Barton (in Matthew Williamson) paired some light blue shades with a blue dress as she looks a bit glum outside her hotel in London, England on Thursday (April 23).

The 23-year-old actress is in town to launching a new range of Ri2k designer handbags. Describing her style, she said, “I’m a huge vintage fan and then I like high street pieces and I like things that are affordable but fashionable, which is what I try to do with the bags. And then of course, nothing beats some of the best couture pieces!”

The 23-year-old London-born actress recently talked about her tastes in men, saying, “I tend to be attracted to slightly dark men, meaning they have huge lows, which I can too. This is not conducive to being happy and carefree… I have therefore set my mind to dating if I feel like it, but not getting into anything serious. It’s difficult to find the happy medium. I am dating in a general sense… nothing exclusive. I am enjoying myself!”

Mischa Barton just called out one of her posers on her blog and announced that she started her own official Twitter.

The 23-year-old writes, “For those of you who have been following MischaBarton on Twitter, I just wanted to let you know that that wasn’t me. I’m not exactly sure who was running that account — all I know is that I JUST joined Twitter this past Monday.

“My user name is THEREALMISCHA and I’ll be keeping all of you up to speed as often as I possibly can. I’m so busy right now and I’m still trying to get the hang of the whole Twitter idea, hopefully I’ll figure it all out soon enough :) So follow THEREALMISCHA on Twitter!!!!”

Mischa even addressed the fake Mischa on Twitter, saying, “@mischabarton I appreciate your keeping people updated with whats going on on ‘my’ life, but I think I’d like to do my own twittering now.”

At the event co-hosted by GQ, the 23-year-old actress joined Burberry-clad Liv Tyler (with GQ West Coast Editor Chris Huvane), Lipstick Jungle hunk Robert Buckley, British actor Alex Pettyfer, and indie rock band Cold War Kids, who gave a special live performance.

Mischa told People at the event that she joined the cast of a new CW show, A Beautiful Life, produced by Ashton Kutcher.

“Ashton developed it about his life growing up as a model (Sonia) from Iowa, so it’s about the whole fashion world that he was in, and obviously I have a lot of friends in the fashion world, so I’m used to being around a lot of people in that,” Mischa shared. “[I play] a bitchy model-type character, like it’s a totally different character for me.”
