Mischa Barton takes a break from watching the catwalks for a bit of shopping around New York City on Monday (February 16).
Bundled up in a warm fur coat and sporting fun, bright-red lipstick, the 23-year-old former O.C. actress made stops at several shops, including the multi-floor home store mecca, ABC Carpet & Home, in Manhattan’s trendy Flatiron neighborhood.

Earlier this week, Mischa, 23, took to her blog to shoot down rumors that she has been dating Tom Wright. She writes: “I’m sure you’ve all heard the rumors about the alleged “love triangle” between Luke Pritchard, Tom Wright and me, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to clear the air on this matter. There is not now, nor has there ever been a “feud” between the three of us; Tom is a close friend of mine and we hang out with a lot of the same people in London. If I’m dating anyone right now, it’s Luke.
“Luke is an amazing guy and we enjoy spending time together, but we’ve only been seeing each other for a few weeks and we’re taking it slow. I hope this clears things up for everyone.”

The former O.C. actress has gotten loads of attention this week for her lip-locking kiss with model Irina Lazareanu. On Monday, she was photographed having a good time at her birthday party, but then wrote on her blog that the kiss was purely platonic. Mischa went on to say, “As I’m sure most of you have already seen, I was photographed at my 23rd birthday party engaging in what most of the gossip blogs refer to as a ‘girl on girl kiss.’ Well I just wanted to take this moment to clear the air by saying that the kiss was purely platonic! We were joking around and it was taken out of context.”

The night before however, Mischa Barton was spotted with the Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard. MTV reports they couldn’t keep their lips off each other when they were at a London comedy club.
“They couldn’t keep their hands off each other they were snogging like teenagers,” said a witness. “They missed most of the comedians and were starting to annoy some of the other drinkers who were trying to listen to the acts on stage. They seem very into each other — there is certainly a lot of physical attraction.”

Mischa Barton does a quick change in her car, switching outfits after the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2009 Show at the Rodin Museum in Paris, France on Monday (January 26).
The 22-year-old former O.C. actress wore a fringed yellow minidress, accessorized with a black purse and white fur wrap, to the Dior show.
Afterwards, outside a Paris McDonalds, Mischa quickly slipped into wide-legged pants, a wide-brimmed hat, and a wizardly cloak in order to catch the Eurostar train for London a little more comfortably.

The 22-year-old recently spoke about President Obama speech, saying, “I cried, I won’t lie. I cried for the people being hit by our economic crisis, including my friends, and for the people who don’t understand the spirit of good Americans. I cried because I had a press day where I had to answer worthless questions about fame and his speech was so right that that has nothing to do with the hard work that made the fabric of the American nation.”

On her favorite escapes: “I love massages and I go for lots of those. And I love a good steam room too. I’ve been to all kinds of spas–I go to Saturnia in Italy with my family and love visiting the spas around there, and even just the local day spas in LA are great place to escape to.”
On her beauty musts: “I’m not really a lip gloss girl, but I really like lip balm, so I normally carry one of those with me (I love By Terry Rose Lip Balm).”
On personal style: “I think it’s cooler when girls look themselves, so I don’t fuss too much about the way I look–I really dress for me. I think it’s important as a girl that the way you dress and the way you look are for yourself and you’re not just trying to please other people all the time.”
Former O.C. starlet Mischa Barton has been learning about new religions and learning a new instrument during her stay in India. Here’s what the 22-year-old actress wrote on her blog:
“I’ve been having an amazing spiritual exploration visiting Hindu temples and learning about Buddhism, both beautiful religions. Hyderabad where we’re filming is a real inspiration in the fact that Christians, Muslims and Hindus all get along so harmoniously. I must admit I used to make fun of people who were all into yoga and chai tea thinking it was another ridiculous health fad. But now I’m that person! First of all Masala Chai tea, the traditional way with milk and sugar is delicious, and this is coming from a brit who only likes my breakfast tea!
“I must say my goal coming here was to learn to play the sitar and it’s coming along real slow as apparently it’s not that easy to procure a great sitar teacher here, I guess it not late 60’s with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison roaming around unfortunately!!!!”
