Principal photography will kick off tomorrow, May 3. The all-new HSM3 feature film will be shot on location in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is set for release in theaters October 24, 2008. High School Musical 3: Senior Year finds high school seniors Troy and Gabriella facing the prospect of separation as they head off to different colleges. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future. Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman are all now officially (really, really) confirmed to appear in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, according to TVGuide.

Here’s the movie’s premise according to a Disney press release: High School seniors Troy (Efron) and Gabriella (Hudgens) face the prospect of being separated from one another as they head off in different directions to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.

Production for High School Musical 3: Senior Year begins spring 2008 and tentatively will be released on silver screens nationwide on October 24, 2008.

High School pals Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman continue to promote the release of High School Musical 2 Extended Edition to Disney DVD in Australia.

The pair posed at Castle Towers Shopping Centre on Saturday in Sydney.

If you’re already into the holiday cheer, rock around the Christmas tree with both Lucas, 23, and Monique, 27, on “A Disney Channel Holiday” CD.

High School BFFs Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman promote the release of the High School Musical 2 DVD at Chadstone Shopping Centre on Thursday in Melbourne, Australia.

Earlier this week, Lucas revealed he wanted a package of guitar picks for the holidays. “I’m always losing them,” he said.

Monique’s plans? “I’m having a regifting party because of all the gifting suites we go to,” she said .”You get cameras, iPods, hair products, so I’m going to invite everyone over to my house.”

Both Lucas, 23, and Monique, 27, will begin filming the feature film High School Musical 3 starting in Spring 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

What time is it? Christmas time!

Vanessa Hudgens (in bebe) was at Disneyland on Saturday to film a Christmas segment for Disney.

Vanessa, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu and other High School Musical stars performed a Christmas version of the hit song “What Time Is It?” from High School Musical 2.

The Disney special is scheduled to air Christmas morning on ABC during the Walt Disney World Christmas parade. But watch the preview video below!

And yes, Zac Efron was MIA.
