Two of today’s biggest producers have come together for one explosive track.  Kanye West has teamed up with Pharrell, for his new single “Number 1”. The music video was recently shot in Miami by Hype Williams. The highly anticipated, "In My Mind", is slated for a July 25th release date, and includes appearances by Gwen Stefani, Jay-Z,  and Daddy Yankee.  Thoughts?

An HQ quality version of Christina Aguilera’s lead single "Ain’t No Other Man" has finally been leaked.  It hails from her upcoming album "Back To Basics," in stores August 15th.  Christina will also be performing at the MTV Movie Awards too, so be sure to check that out. Two tracks / clips from Paris Hilton’s self-titled debut album have leaked and made their way onto the Internet. I think this is the real deal unlike the fake MP3s from Paris Hilton’s "Official" Myspace a couple months ago.  Personally, I am waiting to hear Paris’s rendition of Rod Stewart’s "Do You Think I’m Sexy".  I’m sure it will be sexy.  But of these two leaked tracks: "Fightin’ Over Me" is… not sexy.  "Turn It Up" is… kinda sexy.  Both have… funny lyrics. Paris, 25, is reportedly dating Matt Leinart, 22, who just got drafted into the NFL by the Arizona Cardinals.    Enjoy the songs!  Or not!

Janet Jackson treated fans to a new song titled "Weekend" this past Monday on her official website (download it below). Janet’s upcoming single "Call on Me" samples the classic hit, Sheila E.’s "Glamorous Life". The executive producer of the album Jermaine Dupri said, "We wanted to make this single a hot beat for the summer enduring a lasting impression. We just added some high bass and tough beats which makes this a single that’s going to impact hip hop’s style." Janet’s album "20 Years Old" (a nod to the 20th anniversary of Control) includes 20 brand new tracks and will drop Fall 2006. Pictures include Janet Jackson, 39, out and about with longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri, 33.  Looks like Janet’s slimmer than ever! More pictures in the gallery!

The Unexpected Dreams: Songs from the Stars CD was released today, featuring some of my favorite actors lending their voice talents. Whenever actors sing (or try to sing), it completely intrigues me and this new album is no exception! It’s obviously not the best singing in the world, but it’s sure fun to listen to.  The CD features 14 spellbinding tunes by composers including Elton John, Billy Joel, Sade, Bob Dylan, and Lennon/McCartney, beautifully sung (well, sometimes) and lushly orchestrated.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit “Music Matters,” the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s music education programs.  Here’s the Unexpected Dreams tracklisting –

Brad Pitt is to make his singing debut on a new charity album. Hollywood Goes Wild aims to raise money for the Los Angeles Wildlife Waystation animal rescue charity in California. Other well-known names to appear on the album include Russell Crowe, Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves, Billy Bob Thornton and Johnny Depp. The album has taken two years to put together and is set to be released in stateside in February. Executive producer Mark Fine praised Jeff Goldblum, who sang and wrote Born Freaky, a "bebop/big bad animal motif tune in the spirit of Born Free (1966)" which begins with a 30-second beatnik rap. A Benefit CD By Today’s Film Stars For The Wildlife Waystation, an internationally acclaimed animal rescue sanctuary for mistreated and injured exotic animals.

And thanks for BeSane for this video link to a commercial that Brad Pitt made several years ago.  In this Edwin Jeans advertisement, Brad Pitt attempts to say "503 Edwin" in Japanese. But instead of saying "Go-Maru-San" (503), he pronounces it "Go-Mari-san" ("Go, Ms. Mari"), which became a hit amoung young Japanese at the time.  Doubt it if Brad realizes his pronounciation ‘mistake’ turned into a popular phrase in Japan.
