Natalie Portman braves a chilly morning in New York City as she films Black Swan in Manhattan on Monday (December 7).

The 28-year-old actress filmed scenes coming out of a subway station at Lincoln Center - check out the posters behind her of Winona Ryder as a ballet star!

Black Swan, directed by Darren Aronofsky, is a thriller about the relationship between a veteran ballet dancer and her rival. Natalie will be starring opposite Winona and Mila Kunis!

Natalie Portman pretties up the January 2010 issue of Marie Claire, on stands now. Here’s what the 28-year-old actress opened up about:

On being a late bloomer while attending Harvard University: “OK, so I didn’t really go to high school parties and yeah, I didn’t touch pot till I was in my 20s. I didn’t get flat-out drunk until I went to college. But I think that’s a good thing in many ways.”

On her rumored romance with Sean Penn: “He’s obviously someone I’m friends with I mean, not ‘hey, wassup?’ friends, but we were all on the [Cannes 2008] jury together—Alfonso [Cuarón] and Marjane [Satrapi]—and we had a really great time, and then…It was one of those things where you’re like, ‘Oh, my God! I’m that person who’s caught in this shitty rumor brigade.’ You can’t win. You don’t say anything and everyone’s like, ‘It’s true.’ You say something, and you’re keeping the story alive. It’s bad, bad news.”

Natalie Portman is presented with a career tribute at IFP’s 2009 Gotham Independent Film Awards at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (November 30) in New York City.

The 28-year-old actress donned a beautiful navy sequin dress with tie dye tank by Proenza Schouler.

Nat is currently preparing to shoot her latest film, Black Swan. Asked about a rumored sex scene between her and Mila Kunis, she replied, “It’s a very extreme movie. It’s like very extreme situations. But it’s not explicit in any way.”

“It’s a psychological thriller about what happens when you reach the top,” Natalie told MTV Movies. “My character starts being paranoid that she’s going to be unseated.”

Natalie Portman looks stunningly beautiful at the opening night celebration of the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center on Tuesday (November 24).

The 28-year-old actress wore a Vena Cava dress, Charles by Charles David shoes, and a Carole Tanenbaum vintage collection bag.

Nat, who co-stars in the new film, Brothers , with Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal, commented, “It was actually really exciting ’cause this is the first time I’ve ever worked with actors that I knew before. I met Tobey when I was 14, I met Jake when I was 18, so there was a level of familiarity from the first day, which was really a nice way to enter into it. We also had a nice rehearsal period for a few weeks before we started, where we got to go over each other’s houses and talk about it and try things out!”

Natalie Portman arrives outside the Ed Sullivan Theater for the Late Show With David Letterman in New York City on Monday (November 23).

On Sunday, the 28-year-old actress promoted the release of her latest film, Brothers. She co-stars in the film alongside Tobey Maguire, Bailee Madison, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Natalie said, “Jake is the kind of guy who can do a spot-on impression of someone you work with that will make you giggle. He plays guitar and has a great voice. Kids and dogs love him. He loves his mom and sister and girlfriend. He’s perfect.” She told Pop Wrap. “Too bad he’s ugly.”

Natalie Portman poses with co-star Tobey Maguire at The Cinema Society, Details and DKNY screening of Brothers at the SVA Theater on Sunday (November 22) in New York City.

The 28-year-old actress plays the wife of Sam Cahill (Maguire). Cahill goes missing on his fourth tour of duty, forcing his younger brother (Jake Gyllenhaal) to take care of his wife.

Brothers is based on Susanne Bier’s 2004 Danish film Brødre, and is set to be released on December 4 in the US.

Jake Gyllenhaal is dubbed one of the “leading men” in People’s latest Sexiest Man Alive issue (with Johnny Depp on the cover).

The 28-year-old actor’s Brothers co-star shared this little quote in the mag: “Jake is the kind of guy who can do a spot-on impression of someone you work with that will make you giggle. Model Amber Rose also hit the screening, wearing a dramatic gown by Jil Sander. She’s back in the US after a trip to Rome with boyfriend Kanye West.
