Natalie Portman walks back to her trailer as she works on her latest movie Black Swan on Monday (February 1) in New York City.

The 28-year-old Israeli American actress stars alongside Mila Kunis in the film about two rival ballet dancers.

Currently, Natalie graces the cover of Elle UK. In the interview, Natalie spoke about her good-girl image on screen.

“The good-girl image was something I consciously cultivated after Leon,” Natalie told Elle UK. “There was a lot of controversy about the whole Lolita thing. My parents were super-protective about it, but I got a lot of weird letters. It was really upsetting. I didn’t want to be seen as a sex object, so I went the opposite direction. I’m definitely not a prude about sex or nudity, I just don’t want do something that will end up in a screen grab on a porn site.”

Natalie Portman has a call to action up today on the official website of FINCA, her charity initiative.

The 28-year-old actress has served as the Ambassador of Hope for the organization since 2004. Here’s what Nat had to share:

“The earthquakes that devastated Haiti this week only further the urgency of aid needed by this already-challenged nation. Haiti is a place where small loans can make a big difference.

“FINCA Haiti has always held a special place in my heart. Small loans make an enormous impact on the lives of Haitian women currently living on less than $3 a day. And now, more than ever, Haitian women need these capital inputs to help themselves recover from this tragedy in a sustainable way.

“As FINCA’s Ambassador of Hope, I am asking for your help. Please help FINCA Haiti provide the resources to our Village Banking clients so they can begin to get back on their feet and build anew. There has rarely been a more urgent need for generosity.

“Please give what you can, and I thank you for your continued support of FINCA programs around the world.

Natalie Portman and fellow actor Alan Cumming hit the red carpet together at the 9th Annual New York Times Arts & Leisure Weekend at The Times Center on Saturday (January 9) in New York City.

Natalie Portman has a new love??

The 28-year-old actress has reportedly been dating 32-year-old Benjamin Millepied, 32, the choreographer of her new movie, Black Swan.

Natalie stepped out with her fellow New Yorker for the first time in public at a low-key New Year’s Eve party in Tribeca.

“She has been subletting Sarah Michelle Gellar’s apartment and she wanted to celebrate the New Year with a few close friends and introduce them to Ben,” an insider tells In Touch. “They have actually been a couple since the fall, but she wanted to see how serious it was before she started to show him off to her inner circle. She really likes him.”

Black Swan, due to be released later this year, tells the story of two ballerinas, played by Natalie and Mila Kunis. Benjamin began dance training as a child in France with his mother, a dance teacher.

Natalie Portman looks super sophisticated on the cover of Elle UK’s February 2010 issue, on newsstands Wednesday (January 6).

In the issue, the 28-year-old actress spoke about sex symbols and comedy roles. Check it:

On sex symbols: “You look at Meryl Streep, who is so phenomenally, freakishly gorgeous, and in some ways it’s just bizarre that she was never a sex symbol. But it was always about her - and now it doesn’t matter that she’s getting older, because we just want to continue watching her be an interesting person. Whereas you see actresses who marketed themselves on their bodies, and they might be good, but over time they just lose it because that sort of thing doesn’t last.”

On taking comedy roles: “It wasn’t that I didn’t want to do comedy, it’s just just that I would only get offered girlfriend parts in guy comedies where the woman has to have a job in fashion so that she can have nice clothes, and her goal is always marriage. I’m more interested in finding characters that make me laugh.”

Recently, the 28-year-old actress joined George Clooney and Jeff Goldblum for celebrities who were rumored to be dead.

On Monday, the internet was abuzz when a Google search result displayed that Natalie died in a fall while shooting in New Zealand. The fake news comes on the heels of another rumor that the actress is dating Thor costar Chris Hemsworth.

A rep for Natalie confirmed that the romantic rumor wasn’t true.
