My Blueberry Nights directed by Wong Kar Wai started filming earlier this month, WKW’s first English language film.  Jude Law (seen in an apron above) looks to be playing a pizza parlor worker of sorts.   My Blueberry Nights also stars Norah Jones, Rachel Weisz, and Natalie Portman. Doubting Norah Jones‘ acting abilities?  WKW insists that Norah Jones is the perfect choice because of her acting aura: "Of course everyone knows her because she’s a singer, but I didn’t pick her for this film because she’s a very successful singer. I think she’s suitable for acting. This is instinct. It’s like how I felt that Faye Wong could act when I first saw her a few years ago. There’s a very special aura." Faye was a Chinese pop star who appeared in WKW’s movies Chungking Express and 2046. Kevin Spacey and Ed Harris are also expected to join the cast. More pictures in the gallery!

Paris, France :: Actress Natalie Portman took to the streets and parks around Paris’s Jardin du Luxembourg this past Wednesday, soaking in the sun and good eats.  Her upcoming film, Goya’s Ghost, is scheduled for release late this year and co-stars Randy Quaid (older brother of Dennis Quaid). HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NATALIE PORTMAN!  She turns 25 today.  More pictures in the gallery!
