Hugh Jackman is all smiles as he arrives at LAX airport with his son Oscar, 9, in Los Angeles on Friday (June 5).

The 40-year-old Aussie actor is a three-time host of the Tony Awards and most recently hosted the Oscars, so it’s no wonder that this year’s host for the Tonys reached out to him.

“I saw [Hugh] three or four days ago, and he couldn’t have been lovelier,” Neil told People. “I was asking him how to maintain the audience at Radio City [Music Hall]’s attention and [Hugh] had some good tips for me. He seemed very confident and said, ‘Make sure you don’t forget to have a lot of fun.’”

The Tony Awards will air LIVE @ 8PM ET/PT on Sunday, June 7 on CBS.

Neil Patrick Harris will host the 2009 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 7, live from NYC’s Radio City Music Hall.

“The discipline of live theatre — doing the same perfect thing night after night, eight times a week — never ceases to amaze me,” the 35-year-old How I Met Your Mother star said in a press release. “I’m truly honored to have been chosen as the Master of Ceremonies for this year’s Tony Awards, and I hope to help provide a first-class evening for all.”

The Tonys will air live @ 8-11PM ET/PT on CBS.

Last week, NPH told me that he plans to go back to Broadway someday. “I would love to [move back to NYC] when HIMYM is done,” NPH told JustJared.com. “I think we’ll move back to the east coast. The pulse of the city is so strong, the heartbeat here, I think it’s a better place to live day to day. Definitely theater. [My partner David Burtka is a big theater actor too, so he misses it as well.”

The Academy of Magical Arts has announced that Neil Patrick Harris is both co-producing and hosting the Academy of Magical Arts Awards (The Oscars of Magic) on March 8th.

At the evening with How I Met Your Mother, a pregnant Alyson Hannigan came with her husband Alexis Denisof. Cobie Smulders, 26, who plays the single Robin Scherbatsky on How I Met Your Mother, revealed that her boyfriend, actor Taran Killam, proposed to her over the holidays.

How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris grins his way through security as he catches a departing flight out of LAX airport in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 4).

The 35-year-old actor skipped the line at security as he made his way to New York City.

All week, Neil will be preparing to host the first Saturday Night Live of 2009, airing January 10th. Country music sensation Taylor Swift will be the musical guest.

Neil Patrick Harris gets naked as his womanizing character Barney Stinson in the latest episode (”The Naked Man”) of the CBS comedy, How I Met Your Mother.

In this ep, the gang learns a new way to get their dates to sleep with them after Ted (Josh Radnor) walks in on Robin’s (Cobie Smulders) date sitting naked on the couch. Barney (Harris) takes on the challenge: “If a date is going bad, you strip naked and this will help you get the girl into bed. It’s guaranteed to work 2/3 of the time.”
