Nicholas Hoult climbs his way up the beanstalk in this new still from New Line Cinema’s and Legendary Pictures’ action adventure Jack The Giant Killer.

The Warner Bros. Pictures release is a modern day take on the children’s tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. The long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, so a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.

Jack will be directed by Bryan Singer for summer 2012. He successfully helmed X-Men and The Usual Suspects. Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci also star.

British actor Nicholas Hoult plays zombie “R,” who falls in love with Julie, played by Aussie actress Teresa Palmer. This happens after he eats her boyfriend’s brains and absorbs his memories!

Warm Bodies, which opens August 10, 2012, also stars Dave Franco, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, and Analeigh Tipton.

Can’t wait to see Teresa on the silver screen again – she gave stand-out performances in the 80′s comedy, Take Me Home Tonight, and the sci-fi flick, I Am Number Four!

The 21-year-old X-Men: First Class actor also wore clothing by Prada, Fred Perry, and Dunhill for the shoot, which was captured by photographer Alan Clarke.

Nicholas will star opposite Teresa Palmer in the upcoming film Warm Bodies – Jonathan Levine (The Wackness) will direct the movie.

Warm Bodies will take be filmed up north in Montreal later in the summer – the film is due out in theaters in 2012.

On being watched onscreen: “There are so many people watching you. I enjoy the acting part. But then I forget that people are actually going to watch it.”

On his sex scenes in Skins: “We grabbed a couple glasses of vodka and some champagne at 8 in the morning, and we just went on and did it.”

On self doubt: “I still worry that I’m never going to get another job. Whenever a new film comes out, I always worry that it’s going to be the one people look at and go, ‘Don’t ever hire him again.’”

On working with Colin Firth in A Single Man: “I was doing my American accent, and Colin was doing his usual English accent, but I was letting mine slip. I remember thinking, Uh oh, I’m in trouble. But Colin is very relaxed and free, which made my job easy. There’s a fantastic subtlety to his acting, like you can read every thought and emotion that passes through his mind.”

Teresa Palmer is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming zombie love story, Warm Bodies.

The 25-year-old I Am Number Four actress would star opposite X-Men: First Class‘ Nicholas Hoult in the flick, which is described as Twilight meets Shaun of the Dead, according to THR.

Synopsis: “An existentially tormented zombie named R begins an unlikely friendship with the human girlfriend (Palmer) of one of his victims. The blossoming relationship starts a chain reaction that will transform him, his fellow zombies and maybe the whole lifeless world.”

The 21-year-old British actor, who’s dating his X-Men: First Class co-star Jennifer Lawrence, has been offered the lead in Jack the Giant Killer.

The Bryan Singer-directed drama is a “scary revisionist take on the Jack and the Beanstalk mythology,” according to Deadline.

Nicholas would star as a farmer who leads an expedition into the giants’ kingdom to rescue a kidnapped princess.

Stanley Tucci has signed on to play the villain, while Bill Nighy and John Kassir have been cast as a two-headed giant, Variety reports.

Jennifer Lawrence is dating her X-Men: First Class co-star Nicholas Hoult, sources confirm exclusively to JustJared.com.

Nicholas, 21, came out to support Jennifer, 20, at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (January 30) in Los Angeles.

The new couple later hit up a few after-parties including The Weinstein Company’s SAG after-party held at Sunset Tower and United Talent Agency’s star-studded affair held at Nobu.

“Jennifer and Nicholas were holding hands and looked incredibly cute together,” a spywitness tells JustJared.com. “They were inseparable all night.”

X-Men: First Class opens June 3, 2011 with Nicholas playing Hank McCoy/Beast and Jennifer playing Raven Darkholme/shape-shifting Mystique.

Jennifer recently received critical acclaim and a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her work in Winter’s Bone.
