Nicole Kidman (in Nina Ricci) presents an award onstage at the 2009 CNN Heroes Awards held at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Saturday (November 21) in Hollywood.

The 42-year-old Aussie actress presented the award to CNN Hero Betty Makoni, who is a Zimbabwe native. She founded the Girl Child Network to provide a haven for young victims of sexual abuse. The organization has rescued more than 35,000 girls since 2001. Read her full story at CNN.com.

The 42-year-old actress covers the latest issue of Ladies Home Journal and shared about her life in the spotlight. “I was running from my life, in a way,” she said of making 17 movies between 2001 and 2008. “My imaginary life was better than my flesh-and-blood life. That’s a sad thing to say, but it was. Now I love my real life so much it requires an enormous belief in a film to want to take it on.”

Nicole added, “I think that we’re in the world to connect. Because that’s what you’re left with. You’re not left with your houses or awards or money, you’re left with the people that you built relationships with.”

Nicole Kidman is all smiles on the December 2009/January 2010 cover of Ladies’ Home Journal.

The 42-year-old Aussie actress spoke to LHJ about being a private person, love and breastfeeding.

On being a private person: “I would never write a memoir. There are things that happen behind closed doors, and that’s where they belong. I’m not secretive. I’m protective.”

On being in love: “I love being in love. I believe in the power of love, the way it can heal. The more you keep choosing it—because there are times when you can choose to be angry at the person or to love him—the more it nourishes a family.”

On breastfeeding: “They’re not very big, my boobs, so they just became normal size. I loved it! I felt very Woman. When you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling.”

Nicole Kidman comes out to support her country superstar husband Keith Urban at the 2009 CMA Awards at the Sommet Center on Wednesday (November 11) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 42-year-old actress showed off her curves in a pink L’Wren Scott dress and ruby earrings by Edith Weber.

I can’t imagine Nicole playing the HUSBAND of Gwyneth Paltrow in The Danish Girl quite yet. She’s going to be sitting in that makeup chair for a very long time. Can’t wait!

The 42-year-old country singer is competing for entertainer of the year against George Strait, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesey, and Tayor Swift.

“It’s not gender based, and it takes into account all the things we do in a year - making records and playing concerts and being artists,” Keith said. “It’s always been a real prize.”

Gwyneth Paltrow sports a red poppy in her hair for Remembrance Sunday as she strolls with a friend in London on Monday (November 9).

Variety reported that the 37-year-old actress recently signed on to star in The Danish Girl alongside Nicole Kidman in the story of the relationship between the first ever post-operative transsexual, Einar Wegener (Kidman), and his wife, Greta (Paltrow).

Thomas Alfredson, best known for Let The Right One In, will direct.

Nicole Kidman and country music singer husband Keith Urban take their adorable daughter Sunday Rose out for a walk in the park on Tuesday (November 3) in Nashville, Tenn.

The family walked Sunday, 15 months, around and papa Keith kept her entertained with a black balloon.

Both Nicole and Keith made the cut on a list of the top earning Australian entertainers, with Nicole made an estimated $11 million and Keith bringing home an estimated $20 mil.

Nicole Kidman shows off a sexy figure as she opens up the December issue of the UK’s GQ.

“I’ve explored obsession. I’ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I’ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff,” Nicole, 42, said. “I’ve explored the mundane aspect of marriage, and monogamy.”

She also told GQ that for her, marriage to Keith Urban is “a very extraordinary, adventurous place to be: incredibly raw, incredibly dangerous and you’re very much out at sea. You’re exposed. You could drown,” Nicole noted.

Also admitting she’d kept journals during her marriage to Tom Cruise and destroyed them after the divorce, Nicole told GQ, “I burnt most of my journals after I remarried… You’re only going to find out bad things.”
