Nicole Richie hit up last night’s T-Mobile launch event at the Beverly Hills T-Mobile Sidekick 3 Boutique. This T-Mobile event celebrated the debut of two new limited edition T-Mobile Sidekicks by Diane Von Furstenberg and The Lifted Research Group. I spy Mischa Barton in the background!

Nicole, 25, wore a mustard mini-dress and a fringed fur vest last night. Miss Richie wore a similar fur piece to the Byron Williams New Product Line Launch of “Byron by Byron Williams” back on January 10, 2006. More pictures in the gallery!

• Kevin Federline guest stars on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation tonight. (Watch video preview.) Meanwhile, the show just announced Roger Daltrey, lead singer of The Who, will be a guest in an episode scheduled to air Thanksgiving night.
• Sienna Miller threw a fit Saturday night at a Pennsylvania club when she was kicked out for not having an ID. “I am Sienna Miller. I am a famous actress!” she reportedly yelled.
• A Los Angeles judge Wednesday refused to dismiss contempt charges against actress Kim Basinger, who is accused of failing to obey court orders in her custody fight with ex-husband Alec Baldwin. Basinger pleaded not guilty last week to 12 misdemeanor counts of contempt. She faces up to 60 days in jail and a $12,000 fine if convicted of all counts.
• New York Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle was killed yesterday when his small plane crashed into a high-rise on the Upper East Side. The crash also killed Lidel’s flight instructor. The pitcher leaves behind a wife and six-year-old son.

Who was Nicole Richie mourning at the cemetery the other day? Nicole explains in a recent blog entry of hers:

Today is the one year anniversary of the death of a dear friend of mine. Brent Shapiro was a saint. I often thought he was too perfect to even be on this earth. I have faith that he is in a better place. But I ask of all of you to stop, take a look at your life, and value how truly lucky you all are. Tell someone you love them, even if you think they already know. Life is short. Take it in. Peace and Love xx

Brent died last year from a drug over-dose in California. He was the son of lawyer Robert Shapiro.

Back to the party… Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie seem to be inseparable as of late. Pictures include Paris (ugliest pink glossies ever!) and Nicole leaving Tower Records and hanging out at Hollywood hotspot Guy’s for karaoke Tuesday’s. • Mel Gibson speaks with Diane Sawyer about his “stupid rambling as a drunkard” on Good Morning America, which will air Thursday and Friday mornings. “The last thing I want to be is that kind of monster. What I need to do (is) to heal myself and to be assuring and allay the fears of others and to heal them if they had any heart wounds from something I may have said.”
• Evangeline Lily and Dominic Monaghan are planning to get married next summer in Hawaii, according to The Post.
• Katie Couric received her worst ratings last week, the fifth week of her evening news program. Couric remained in third place and she averaged only 7 million viewers, 1.5 million viewers less than Brian Williams‘ Nightly News.
• Jon Stewart shot down rumors that he’d make a run for the White House and said the T-shirts promoting him and Stephen Colbert “are a real sign of how sad people are” with the state of affairs in the country. “Nothing says ‘I am ashamed of you my government’ more than ‘Stewart/Colbert ‘08,’ Stewart told an audience Sunday at the New Yorker Festival.
• David Bowie has lent his voice to SpongeBob Squarepants. Bowie will play Lord Royal Highness in a SpongeBob special. Apparently his daughter is a huge fan of the show and they watch it together.
• Real World/Road Rules: The Duel premieres this Thursday @ 10PM on MTV. View trailer and Beth & Tina fight.

October must be the month to visit the cemetery and pay respects to loved ones who have passed away (the number of visitors at cemeteries are supposedly less this time of year). BFFsParis Hilton and Nicole Richie were also spotted at Hillside Memorial Cemetery yesterday. The pair was spotted buying flowers to take to a friend’s grave site. After choosing flowers they went to a drive-thru McDonalds for a bite to eat while their bouquets were being arranged. Paris and posse then picked up the flowers and went to a Culver City graveyard (followed by 30-40 photographers). Some photographers followed into the graveyard and one was arrested. Nicole Richie (barefoot again!) was spotted leaving on-off-on-again BFF Paris Hilton’s home in West Hollywood early this morning. The pair had dinner together at Italian restaurant Dan Tana’s the night before (pictured after the jump). More pictures in the gallery!

And guess what? The Simple Life 5 is in the works! Executive producer Jon Murray of The Simple Life said, “The thing the viewers love is the two girls together. America, Paris and Nicole are going to camp. [The Simple Life will delive into] what led to the breakdown in the friendship and maybe some of the misunderstandings and things that got in the way.” What… perfect timing. The Simple Life will air on E! next spring.

Reports have been swirling that Nicole Richie broke up with Brody Jenner after two months of dating. Nicole just posted an entry on her official MySpace blog to clear the air:

“Relationship?” — I know there are rumors regarding my “breakup” with Brody Jenner. The truth is, we were never really together. We hung out, and he’s a nice guy, but my heart was never in it. Anything further is just a cry for publicity.
