Vampire Diaries starlet Nina Dobrev graces the April 2010 cover of Seventeen magazine, on stands March 9. Here’s what the 21-year-old actress shared:

On what it’s like hanging out with co-stars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder: “They’re both really great in different kinds of ways. Paul definitely takes his job very seriously He’s very professional. Ian’s the prankster, the jokester. He makes light of every moment, and he’s very exciting and cool. He has the best stories, because he has just experienced so much, and he’s been on so many cool sets and movies. I’m so lucky that they’re great people and we love each other’s company.”

On if she has any rules when it comes to dating a costar: “I think it could definitely get sticky if you dated your costar. To be completely honest, dating an actor is very complicated. There’s a lot of vanity involved. And they’re in their head, and they’re kind of crazy. And you’re always surrounded by beautiful people. I would prefer not to date an actor.”

Nina Dobrev blows a kiss while keeping close to co-star Ian Somerhalder at The Vampire Diaries Hot Topic Tour stop at Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park, Calif., on Saturday (February 13).

The 21-year Canadian actress, who was also joined by co-star Paul Wesley, even showed off a handmade bracelet made by one of her fans!

Nina chatted with the LA Times about her adventures moving from Degrassi to The Vampire Diaries.

Nina mentioned, “It was hard in the sense that a lot of my friends are on the show, but we still keep in touch. The Degrassi producers were very supportive. They sent me flowers when I got The Vampire Diaries, and then as soon as it premiered and got the great numbers that it did, I got another large bouquet of flowers from them. I went back and I did two episodes for Season 9, so that my character could be written out. I don’t know! Right now the schedule here is so overwhelming, and I can’t see how I could have time to do anything else, but you never know. I would do it. We’ll see!”

Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev has one leg up on her competition in this sexy new shot from celeb photographer Tyler Shields.

The 21-year-old actress is interested in making a cameo on another CW show. “Oh my god, I would love to be on Gossip Girl,” Nina told E!. “I feel like it’s hard to do because we’re both so busy. But I would love to, and I would for [Leighton Meester] to be on our show. [She] would make a great vampire!”

A new Vampire Diaries episode called “Children of the Damned” airs TONIGHT (February 4) @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW. Watch a preview clip on YouTube!

Paul on the success of his show: “Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren’t for Twilight? No.”

Ian on working on independent movies after Lost: “I fell off the face of the f—ing planet. I thought I was being cool and edgy, and it seemed like something Johnny Depp would have done 15 years ago. Wrong. Biggest Mistake.”

Ian on his VD character Damon: “This is gonna be the coolest character on television. There was no doubt about it. It reminded me of Sawyer, Josh Holloway’s character on Lost. He was always the character I secretly wished I could play.”

Nina Dobrev takes to the beach in an Itsola dress and Diane Von Furstenberg bangle in a fashion story for Self Magazine’s February 2010 issue (with Jessica Alba on the cover).

The Vampire Diaries actress, who turned 21 on Saturday, is her own stylist. “I was in a diner when my fork bent out of shape,” she says. “So I wore it as a bracelet! Now I look for antique silverware to make into jewelry.”

It appears that style is in her blood!

Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola show off their bright bikinis on Miami’s South Beach on New Year’s Eve Thursday (December 31).

Nina, 20, spoke to MTV and talked about what’s next for Vampire Diaries, saying, “My character gets into a extremely big car accident, she hits someone and you’re left hanging. You don’t know what’s going to happen, so we’re going to pick up right from there and you’re gong to see what happened and what happened after that!”

Vampire Diaries stars Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Kayla Ewell hit up the checkboard carpet at Spike TV’s Scream Awards 2009 held at the Greek Theatre on Saturday (October 17) in Los Angeles.

Ian, Nina and Paul presented the “Best TV Show” award to the cast of True Blood. From one vampire cast to another!

On-and-off-screen couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer also each picked up “Best Horror Actor” for their respective genders.

FYI: Kayla is wearing a French Connection dress and shoes and carrying a Treesje “Penn” clutch.

The CW finally has something to cheer about. Vampire Diaries delivered breakout ratings!

Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley pulled in 4.8 million viewers, making their show CW’s most-watched series premiere ever.

America just can’t get enough of blood-sucking vampires! (FYI: True Blood’s series finale airs this Sunday @ 9PM ET/PT on HBO.)
