The promos for season 4 of Nip/Tuck have finally been released.   Here’s what goes down in the first episode, "Cindy  Plumb": As Christian (Julian McMahon) and Sean (Dylan Walsh) celebrate a milestone surgery (5000th surgery), the future of McNamara/Troy may be in jeopardy.  Julia reveals devastating news about the baby to Sean, leaving him full of fear and doubt.  Christian redecorates his apartment after a troubling appointment with his psychiatrist (Brooke Shields as "Dr. Faith Wolper," pictured). We meet also Burt Landau (Larry Hagman, ), the new owner (pictured together with his younger wife, played by Sanaa Lathan) of McNamara/Troy. He goes in for surgery on his testicles. Christian gets in a threeway with a mother and daughter. Cindy Plumb (Kathleen Turner) is a 50-year-old phone sex operator who is losing her trademark voice and wants something done about it.

The Golden Globe-winning drama returns for its fourth season Sept. 5 on FX.

• Episode 4.01 - Cindy Plumb [Airing September 19]: We meet Burt Landau (Larry Hagman), the new owner (together with his younger wife, played by Sanaa Lathan) of McNamara/Troy. He goes in for surgery on his testicles. Christian gets in a threeway with a mother and daughter. Cindy Plumb (Kathleen Turner) is a 50-year-old phone sex operator who is losing her trademark voice and wants something done about it. Christian sees a therapist (Brooke Shields). He also wants his apartment redone.
• Episode 4.02 - Blue Mondae: An older man brings in his boytoy for a bit of cosmetic surgery. Christian meets an all-natural stripper who is willing to do a lot to get Christian to give her a breast-reduction surgery. Matt gets a gym membership from his parents. Sean meets a barista whose face is deformed.
• Episode 4.03 - Monica Wilder: Sean and Julia interview a possible nanny. They both like her a lot. Sean got a hybrid car. Christian goes to the gym and is envious of another plastic surgeon there who’s in much better shape than he is. Christian encounters a changed Matt in the gym. [Note: The plastic surgeon Christian meets at the gym will be played by Saved By the Bell’s Mario Lopez.]

Apparently Julian McMahon and Mario Lopez (pictured above) met at the 1998 charity event, E! Rack ‘N Roll Tournament.  And here are some general Nip/Tuck spoilers for season 4 via SpoilerFix: The McNamara/Troy firm is now the property of Michelle Latham and her wealthy 70-year-old husband. Michelle, who is set to appear in a 12-episode arc, is a powerful and sexy woman in her 30s who will now run the company. How will she deal with the company and business when Christian steals her heart?  More pictures in the gallery!

Rejoice!  Kimber’s definitely back next season. Kimber is rumored to go on some spirital quest, and tryis to reach out to Matt in the third episode. Nip/Tuck has found an actor to play the "infuriatingly fit" plastic surgeon and it’s none other than infuriatingly fit Saved by the Bell grad Mario Lopez! A source confirms that Lopez will appear in the coming season’s third episode when his hot doc character has a homoerotic encounter with Christian (Julian McMahon) at the gym. Then again, aren’t all gym-based encounters homoerotic?

WOW WOW WOW!  32-year-old Saved by the Bell actor Mario Lopez is a most interesting casting selection by Nip/Tuck.  Let’s hope this is a good storyline!  Nip/Tuck returns with its fourth season this fall on September 19. NIP/TUCK! NIP/TUCK! NIP/TUCK!

Here’s a little scoop on the upcoming fourth season of Nip/Tuck:  Three years ago, Richard Chamberlain came out of the closet in real life. Now at age 72, the Thorn Birds and Shogun star is coming out in the FX series Nip/Tuck. "It’s my debut," says Chamberlain, who was "nervous but excited" about taking on the role of gay millionaire Arthur Stiles in the risque plastic-surgery drama.

It has been 45 years since Chamberlain came to fame as a heterosexual heartthrob in the hit medical drama Dr. Kildore. Chamberlain believes that he would never have made it as an actor if he hadn’t kept his sexuality a secret. In private, he has been with lover Martin Rabbett for 30 years, and the two live in Hawaii.

On Nip/Tuck, Chamberlain describes Stiles as "a man of questionable character." Stiles takes his young lover (played by The Young and the Restless‘ Thad Luckinbill) to visit the plastic    surgery office of McNamara and Troy. But it quickly becomes apparent to Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) that Stiles is trying to make Luclcinbill’s character look like a younger version of himself.

Producers claim the scenario is actual Hollywood history. "It’s based on Liberace," says coexecutive producer Lyn Greene. "He was known for doing this to his lovers." Chamberlain’s episode, the second of Nip/Tuck Season 4, is set to air this fall. [TVGuide]
