Paris Hilton is set to appear as herself on an upcoming episode of NBC’s My Name is Earl.

The 27-year-old hotel heiress will appear in a dream sequence taking place in Earl’s fevered unconscious mind.

“When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren’t exactly sure who to go with for the role,” said Greg Garcia, the show’s executive producer. “But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can’t wait to see what she does with the role and I can’t wait for America to discover her.”

Paris‘ guest appearance on My Name is Earl will air in the April 3rd episode.

Paris Hilton continues on her self-help journey, seeking spiritual guidance at the Urth Cafe in West Hollywood on Saturday.

Paris, 27, also stopped by the Bodhi Tree Bookstore with her enchanted friend. The mystery man and the hotel heiress were seen reading The Path of the Painted Shamen. What a classic! She even received a blessing from the love guru and boy did Paris seem amused!

It’ll be great to meet a girl who’s not too Hollywood, who I can get along with and hang out with when the show is done. It’s really exciting!”

Should Nicole Richie be jealous? No, according to Paris.

“Of course, my real best friend will always be Nicole,” Ms. Hilton said. “She’s like my sister — but now she’s busy with her daughter, Harlow.”

As for 28-year-old Good Charlotte guitarist Benji, he and Aussie fiancee Sophie Monk reportedly met on the set of a Good Charlotte video in 2006, were engaged in January 2007 and called it quits last month.

Paris Hilton is in the middle of creating a new reality TV show, reports Us Weekly.

“The show is going to be about her searching for a new best friend,” a source says. “Paris is tired of the haters and she’s looking for someone new. She’s looking for someone new and cool who she can trust.”

Paris and then-BFF Nicole Richie starred in The Simple Life from 2003 to 2007.

Added the source, “[The new show is] going to be full of good chick drama and you will see a side of Paris not seen on Simple Life.”
