Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz spend their July 4 at a friend’s barbeque in Hollywood Hills.

The 23-year-old singer grabbed a quick bite to eat for lunch the next day at at Chili’s and then made her way to Blockbuster to rent a few DVDs.

The couple has been fueling speculation they are expecting a boy as they have been visiting Los Angeles boutiques and frequently buying blue-colored clothing.

Ashlee Simpson rocks another headband as she and Pete Wentz visit a friends home in Hollywood Hills on Thursday.

The 29-year old bassist entertained his wife, Ashlee, by doing his version of the taste test with multiple bottles of water. Ashlee got a good laugh out of Pete taking a few sips out of several different brands of water.

Pete recently admitted to kissing guys in the past but maintains he is not gay.

Accompanied by husband Pete Wentz, mom-to-be Ashlee Simpson gets a routine check-up in West Hollywood on Thursday morning.

When asked about her pregnancy, Ashlee said “everything’s fine”.

Added the 29-year-old Fall Out Boy bassist to In Touch recently, “I’d like to know the sex of the baby. It would be a bummer if you bought a boy a bunch of pink stuff!”

Asked to talk about their new home, Mr. Ashlee Simpson gushed, “It’s ours together — that’s the beautiful thing about marriage.”

When asked how big of a family they went, Pete joked, “I want either a band or a football team or a good geometry club.”

The pair recently caught the drama, The Fall, at the Arclight in Hollywood. Ashlee is due in October. More Here! »

Jennifer Aniston leaves the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Earlier in the day, Aniston’s musician boyfriend, John Mayer, and his Fall Out Boy pal Pete Wentz played paparazzi. The twosome took pictures from a window from Mayer’s house in West Hollywood (pictured below).

And even earlier in the day, Mayer arrived at his home driving Aniston’s Range Rover. One hour later, Pete, who is expecting his first child with wife Ashlee Simpson, arrived at Mayer’s house.

“I’m excited to be a dad,” Pete recently told E! News. “I’m a genuinely nervous person. The first time I ever went to the doctor’s office and heard the heartbeat, I felt totally content and at peace with everything. It feels good.”
