The 56-year-old actor shared that he realizes he’ll always be James Bond but admits that the character had hit a rut between Roger Moore and Daniel Craig: “It was a no-man’s-land. You never felt the killing was harsh enough, that the sex was hard enough. And you still had these clunky one-liners, which were always embarrassing.”

Pierce has not watched his successors’ work, though he did try to view Casino Royale once, on a plane: “I figured 37,000 feet was a good distance to watch it from, but then the machine broke on me – twice. I thought, ‘F–k it. He’s the man now. And fair play to him.’”

Pierce Brosnan goes on an afternoon bike ride with his two sons, Dylan, 12, and Paris, 8, on Thanksgiving (November 26) in Malibu, Calif.

The 56-year-old James Bond recently finished filming Remember Me with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.

In the coming-of-age drama, Robert plays a rebellious college student who has a strained relationship with his disconnected wealthy father, played by Pierce. The college student then finds himself while falling in love with a police officer’s daughter.

The movie hits theaters on March 12, 2010.

Pierce Brosnan fiddles with his BlackBerry after buying his two sons — Dylan, 12, and Paris, 8, — ice cream pops at the Malibu Country Mart on Monday (September 7) in Los Angeles.

The 56-year-old former James Bond actor will next star in the dramedy Remember Me, out February 2010. Rounding out the cast are Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Martha Plimpton, Chris Cooper and Lena Olin. Pierce plays Charles Roth, the father of Tyler (Pattinson).

The 56-year-old Irish actor, who has always been environmentally conscious, was recently moved after watching a documentary on the slaughter of dolphins called The Cove and has been publicly speaking against it.

Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith takes their sons Dylan, 12, and Paris, 8, to Greek restaurant Taverna Tony on Sunday (August 9) in Malibu, Calif.

The couple recently blogged about a new investigative documentary film about a cove off the Japanese coast where over 20,000 dolphins and porpoises have been slaughtered. The documentary, The Cove, has won over 12 major international awards.

“Without this kind of investigative journalism, the plight of dolphins and the safety of some of Japan’s seafood may not have been adequately reported,” the couple said. “This powerful and moving film is an urgent cry for help — and now that the public finally knows the truth, we must demand change.”

Gwen Stefani and rocker husband Gavin Rossdale make a friendly visit to actor Pierce Brosnan and his Keely Shaye Smith’s beach house in Malibu, Calif., on Thursday on afternoon.

Gwen, 39, and Gavin, 42, took along their sons Kingston, 2, and Zuma, 2 months. Pierce, 55, wore his support for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

It was recently revealed that Gwen will be making little dolls inspired by her Harajuku Girls that pop open to reveal a solid perfume. The set of five contains a Love, an Angel, a Music, and a Baby, all plastic, all fantastic, and all affordable.

Gwen told Nylon, “My Harajuku Lovers collections were inspired by my visit to the Harajuku district….Everyone there was so creative and expressive and I wanted to re-create that world in my Harajuku Lovers collections… There are so many fun pieces to wear to have that super cool Harajuku style.”

Pierce Brosnan’s wife, Keely Shaye Smith confidently shows off her bikini body while traipsing around a beach in Hawaii on Friday. The 55-year-old former James Bond star watched his 44-year-old wife from his lounge chair.

The Sun-Times had quite the unfavorable review of Pierce in his latest musical movie, Mamma Mia!: “Here’s a novel idea: When casting a major musical, how about recruiting performers who can actually sing? Hearing Pierce Brosnan trying to carry a tune in Mamma Mia! was painful. Unfortunately, his vocal contributions weren’t just limited to one song. Christine Baranski also was allowed to warble much more than she should have been, although her efforts were slightly less torturous than Brosnan’s.” Ouch!

Pierce Brosnan gets the support from his wife Keely Shaye Smith at the premiere of his new movie musical, Mamma Mia! at the Ziegfeld Theatre Wednesday in New York City.

The 55-year-old actor and costar Meryl Streep arrived in a BMW Hydrogen 7s - the world’s first hydrogen cars for everyday use. Both stars happily mugged for cameras and fans with their eco-friendly ride of choice, and one of Hollywood’s “must haves” for green-minded stars.

Mamma Mia! opens in theaters nationwide this Friday, July 18.
